This Is Absolutely A Market Where Price Matters And Time Kills

A report from Eye on Housing. “Sales of newly built single-family homes declined 13.7% in May, falling back to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 623,000 according to newly released data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau. The slowing of the housing market has occurred despite the growing use of of builder sales incentives, including 37% of home builders reporting cutting prices in the June NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index survey. As a result of slowing home sales conditions, inventory continues to rise, marking an elevated 9.8 months’ supply in May. As estimated by NAHB, total months’ supply, defined as a combination of current new and resale single-family inventory, now stands at 5.2. This is the highest sales-adjusted inventory level since 2015. Completed, ready-to-occupy new home inventory stood at 115,000 in May, up 29% compared to a year ago on a non-seasonally adjusted basis.”

My News 13 in Florida. “The Orlando housing market is seeing more homes available and steady sales, according to the most recent report from the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association. Currently, inventory is at its highest since January 2011 and has increased 35% from May last year. ‘We are seeing an influx of inventory compared to last year,’ real estate agent Abby Greenberg said. ‘We only had about 10,000 houses on the market. We’re now we’re approaching 14,000 houses. Data shows that in May of this year, the median home price was around $390,000, something Greenberg believes will drop. ‘I see that the average median price point is most likely to go down over the next year and it’s going to continue to trend down,’ she said. ‘It was in the 400s and now it’s down into the 300s.'”

“‘There’s a lot more negotiation going on now,’ broker associate Jesse Rottinghaus said. ‘That’s just a product of supply and demand. So, you know, we have a lot more supply and that demand is very low because we have we don’t have a ton of buyers, so we have a lot more supply. So the buyers that are coming into the market are all fighting for the best properties, the ones that are perfectly priced, and all have checked all the boxes.'”

From My San Antonio. “In the market for a new home? What better place than right here in Central Texas. Two Texas cities ranked among the best in the nation for the largest price slashes within their respective housing markets, according to a report from Realtor.com. Both the South and the West led the way in the biggest cost cuts, with Phoenix ranking supreme with 31.3% of its Arizona home listings featuring a price cut. Coming in second was Tampa with a 29.9% slash in home listing costs, with Denver trailing slightly behind at a 29.4% share of listings featuring reduced prices. In fourth place, Texas made its mark with the capital city, Austin, boasting 29.2% of its home listings including a price cut, edging ahead of Jacksonville’s 28.8%. Alongside its new listings hike, Austin’s overall for-sale properties jumped 26.5% year over year and its median home prices dipped more than 6%, the largest annual price drop reported in the country. Elsewhere in the Top 10 was Dallas, ranking No. 8 with a 27% share of listings including a reduced price tag.”

Queen City News. “Joy Cotto was nowhere to be found inside the large second-floor conference room of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission office. Her name was on a list of settlement deals of real estate agents under investigation by the state. The commission received its first complaint against Cotto back in May 2023 from a fellow real estate broker in Gaston County. ‘Joy is selling lots and new construction homes with her husband acting as the GC (general contractor), but he is not a general contractor,’ Frankie Gonzalez, Jr. wrote in a complaint dated May 8, 2023. ‘The new construction homes do not progress, her communication is terrible, and Mario Cotto, her husband, is non-communicative,’ Gonzalez alleged.”

“Turns out, as the old saying goes, Gonzalez was a canary in the coal mine. We heard from two dozen homeowners in Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties with the same exact story. In Lincoln County, we found two housing developments where Joy Cotto sold lots with unfinished, rotting houses her husband had been paid deposits on, but never finished. The NCREC received more complaints in 2024. Lisa Labelle was one of those complainants. Labelle bought a lot on Furnace Road Extension near Lincolnton from Joy and Mario Cotto. She signed a contract for Mario to build a custom home on the lot. Labelle wired Mario $158,000 to purchase the lot and an existing foundation sitting on the lot. The deal would allow Cotto to surrender her license without admitting to a single allegation.”

“‘Do you think that was justice for what you went through?’ Queen City News Chief Investigator Jody Barr asked Labelle during a June 2025 interview, ‘From the perspective that no one else can become a victim, I think it is a victory. However, two years’ suspension for the amount of evidence that was provided, I think it really warranted a complete – her license being revoked and her not being able to ever sell real estate in North Carolina again,’ Labelle said.”

From Arlington Now. “Ask Corcoran McEnearney: What does the shifting market mean for sellers and buyers? Answer: A steady stream of spring market data is signaling a shift toward balance in the DC metro housing market, with homes staying on the market longer and buyers increasingly approaching a home purchase with negotiation in mind. Homes are also taking longer to sell: average days on market rose across the region, ranging from 23 days in Northern Virginia and Loudoun County to 55 days in the District. Together, these indicators reflect a market adjusting toward balance, where motivated sellers must work to stand out, and buyers may find emerging opportunities. With more choices and fewer bidding wars, buyers can negotiate better, and smart sellers on a tight timeframe may be willing to negotiate on everything from buyer concessions to price reductions. Compared to last May, the number of homes on the market has risen significantly in every jurisdiction, and this is absolutely a market where ‘price matters and time kills.'”

ABC 10 in California. “A quiet resort community tucked into the sunbaked hills of Stanislaus County west of Patterson is facing a harsh ultimatum: approve a staggering increase in water rates or risk having the taps run dry. Diablo Grande, once pitched as a golf course paradise with vineyards and panoramic hillside views, is now at a breaking point. The Western Hills Water District said it needs to raise rates from $145 to $569 a month, a nearly 300% jump, to keep the water flowing. Homeowners like Lydia Stewart, a retired nurse who moved to Diablo Grande in 2018, say they feel blindsided. ‘We only have a certain income. That’s why we picked up here, because we could afford just that,’ she said. ‘We didn’t expect this big lump sum to be dumped on us.’ Stewart and her husband live on Social Security. She said they poured their life savings into their dream home.”

“Katie Whitney and her husband moved to Diablo Grande in 2012 to retire. ‘The dream was to move up here, someday retire, and play golf every day,’ she said. Now, she says, they feel like victims. ‘We’ve paid our bill… How did we get here? How in the world did we get here?’ Of the 5,000 homes originally promised, only about 600 were ever built. The golf courses have since closed, and the grass has withered under the California sun. Debbie Antigua, who leads a community action group, says outreach to state agencies has gone nowhere. ‘They just (say) we’re forwarding you on to another agency,’ she said. ‘OK, which one? Because nobody’s coming.'”

Bisnow New York. “Developers and real estate investors in New York City spent millions of dollars and several months hoping for any political scenario except this one. The industry awoke Wednesday morning to learn that state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, won the Democratic mayoral primary in a landslide over its preferred candidate, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Tuesday night’s results have already sent shockwaves through the ranks of the wealthy looking to buy or sell NYC apartments, said Briggs Elwell, CEO of consultant RLTYco. ‘I’ve heard firsthand today some aggressive stories of buyers pulling out, people calling and wanting to list their apartment — on a much more rapid pace than they were in previous weeks,’ Elwell said, adding that the residential market is likely to be more reactionary than the commercial market.”

The Financial Post. “Canadians have elected a new government to address the same enduring issues. Prominent among them is the continuing challenge of housing affordability. The newly minted Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Gregor Robertson, takes the helm of a sizeable multi-department bureaucracy that has been struggling to improve housing affordability outcomes. Already, Robertson has attracted criticism for suggesting that housing prices need not fall for affordability to improve in Canada. We believe the minister is correct in advocating for stability in housing prices. The criticism stems from a misconception that a price collapse is essential for restoring affordability.”

“Nothing could be more disastrous for the economy than a plunge in housing prices. A significant correction would wreak havoc on household finances, savings and both short- and long-term consumption. Unlike other financial markets where a decline in asset values often presents a buying opportunity, aspiring homebuyers hesitate to bid when prices are falling. They are wise enough not to purchase a depreciating asset that will likely be worth less by the time the transaction closes. Canadians want a government that protects the value of their assets and safeguards their pensions and savings, not the other way around.”

The Globe and Mail in Canada. “Sellers in the Toronto-area real estate market are facing a slow and stifling summer as buyers take their time and negotiations drag on. Inventory ballooned in May from the same month last year, and sales remained historically low for a month that typically marks the height of the spring market. ‘This is the most active number of price reductions I’ve seen in my entire career,’ says Christopher Bibby, broker with Re/Max Hallmark Bibby Group Realty, who was selling real estate through the 2008 financial crisis. In some cases, condo owners who purchased in 2019 are looking at selling for less than they paid.”

“Pritesh Parekh, real estate agent with Century 21 Legacy Ltd., says he has never experienced a market so steeply tilted in favour of buyers. Mr. Parekh points out that many of the conditions that buyers were wishing for during the market frenzy – including more listings to choose from and cooler competition – are here, but buyers are still hesitant. He remembers taking buyers to newly listed properties and urging them to let him know right away if they wanted to make an offer. ‘It’s so vivid,’ he says, recalling the fast pace. ‘I would say, ‘I’m going to sit in my car and draft an offer.’ I didn’t want to risk driving home.’ In one case, Mr. Parekh was working with a house hunter who had been looking for many, many months but always remained cautious. ‘Then they actually lost their job. It actually happened in the GTA,’ Mr. Parekh says of the moment the hypothetical became real.”

“In the condo segment, Mr. Bibby has recently been stickhandling offers for eight of his listings. Only two so far have resulted in signed deals. In some cases, the two sides sign offers back and forth until they are close to an agreement, then the potential buyer walks away. The same buyer will return a day later with an offer $20,000 below their previous one. A week later, they reduce their offer to $50,000 below that. ‘None of those eight people had to take what was in front of them,’ he says. ‘The buyers are looking for blood, but the sellers will decide what they’re willing to accept.'”

“He adds that high-pressure manoeuvres can backfire because they turn off sellers. ‘They could do it with a little more dignity,’ he says of buyers pushing for a deal. ‘We don’t want to sour the negotiation.’ Mr. Bibby says some people planning to sell still contact him believing that they can achieve a 2021 price because their building, finishes or view is superior to the competition. ‘I think the numbers that a lot of people have in their minds – those numbers are long gone.'”

If they aren’t offended you paid too much Chris.

      He should focus on foreclosures.

Well it was still way cheaper than renting Katie.

    1. “A quiet resort community tucked into the sunbaked hills of Stanislaus County west of Patterson is facing a harsh ultimatum: approve a staggering increase in water rates or risk having the taps run dry.”

Perhaps a bit of due diligence was in order to determine the availability of water in a desert environment. Now, some part of government somewhere needs to do something!

    2. I get it that Clownifornia has nice weather, but the fact that it is expensive and malgoverned should be a red flags to anyone thinking of retiring there.

        1. “3. Worst Homelessness Crisis in the Nation

Despite California spending over $24 billion on homeless prevention programs from 2018 to 2022 alone, California’s homelessness crisis has gotten far worse under Newsom’s leadership. From 2007 to 2022, homelessness nationally has fallen 10%, but it has increased in California by a staggering 31.6% according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In fact, California represents roughly 12% of the US population – but has a third of the homeless population.

Newsom is using the flawed “Housing First” approach, which claims that a homeless individual having a home will cure their problem. This approach fails to address the root causes of most homelessness: addiction and mental illness.

According to a study by the American Journal of Community Psychology, 75% of chronically homeless individuals have substance abuse or severe mental illness.

But under Newsom, California state regulations ban funding from being given to homeless programs if they dare try to enforce rules like no drug use or required mental health treatment.”

Just the other day I posted a bay aryan article saying they had ‘zero’ drug free bum shelters. 2018 sounds right:

Snapcrap lets you take pictures of poop on sidewalks and report it to the city

Request sidewalk cleanings in San Francisco in a snap.

          Oct. 9, 2018

A new app called Snapcrap lets users take pictures of human poop on San Francisco’s sidewalks or streets and send them to the city’s Public Works Department to initiate a cleanup.

Snapcrap, which launched on iOS last week and on Android on Tuesday, uses your phone’s GPS to determine the exact location of the feces. You can also track recent tickets to make sure the issue is resolved. The app borrows from Snapchat’s imagery, replacing the ghost logo with one of poop.

“See something gross? Just snap a photo and press submit,” Snapcrap’s App Store description reads. It sends a report to San Francisco’s 311 hotline.

San Francisco is working to deal with its dirty streets as it struggles with issues of homelessness. To help combat the problem, it established a “Poop Patrol” in August, made up of five public works employees who patrol the streets and steam-clean dirty areas. The city also has a 311 app where people can report feces, as well as other things like graffiti or the need for streetlight repairs or tree maintenance. The city gets around 1,300 monthly requests to clean up human and animal waste, said Rachel Gordon, director of policy and communications at San Francisco Public Works.

“We want to be both responsive and proactive in addressing street cleanliness issues,” Gordon said. “The new Snapcrap app provides the public with another reporting tool; but it is not as robust as the City’s SF311 app in terms of precise reporting, which can help crews locate and address the concern more rapidly.”

Snapcrap creator Sean Miller told the Los Angeles Times he was inspired to create the app after moving from Vermont to San Francisco and discovering he had to frequently step over human and animal poop.

“Pretty much everyone who lives here is pretty well accustomed to seeing this stuff when you’re walking down the street in every neighborhood,” Miller told the publication. “It’s very frustrating. You should be able to pull out your phone, take a photo and send it to the city to have it cleaned up.”

Miller told CNET that there are around 200 to 300 new Snapcrap users each day.

The app could prove to be helpful. But it might not be very pleasant for the city employees who’ll be receiving all these poop pictures.

We talked a lot about this when it happened, and we kidded the bay aryan trolls. It was funny then…

    3. ‘We’ve paid our bill… How did we get here? How in the world did we get here?’

It’s no great mystery, Whitney. You & hubby made bad choices, & now you’re paying for them. If stupid didn’t hurt, fools would never learn.

  4. If she’s a good talker ,she can just go to another state , start a new real estate selling scam….SC recently had a serial Killer real Estate BIC , ran a successful real estate Co. ,with a dozen agents working for and sometimes under him…Todd Kohlhepp offed 7 people in his spare time then …after getting out of jail in Texas , wasn’t hard for him to do, but he’s penned up now, for good.

  5. “Diablo Grande, once pitched as a golf course paradise with vineyards and panoramic hillside views, is now at a breaking point”. A residential area with Diablo in the name should be a dead giveaway that water would be a challenge.

  6. The key to the One World Order Entities getting away with their crimes is that these organizations were given immunity and tax exemption with no requirement for audit or accountability.
Countless NGO’s, World Banks, IMF, UN and World Health Organization are examples. All these above the law status of these Entities were implemented starting way back in 1944 post World War 2 and before.
The immunity for Big Pharmacy regarding vaccines is well known, but all these other Entities like a World Banking system that doesn’t have to answer to anything is operative.
So, its no surprise that Entities that are engaged in forcing a One World Order global Government that operates above Sovereign States and Constitutions can determine global policy without fear of prosecution, audit , or accountability.
These Entities have been looting the USA taxes for decades and decades without fear of accountability.
My understanding is that the US Federal Government could revoke these various immunity positions of these Entities, as well as the Prep Act, but you never get even a discussion about dismantling these Powers that operate above the Governments of the World.
This is why you get no arrests or prosecutions because these powers operate above any kind of laws.
Its all rigged against humanity so these Entities can bring about their control of human populations and force their One World Order slavery/surveillance control grid.
False narratives like Climate Change and warfare of Panademics, and Wars are all designed to get compliance by fear based on manufactured emergencies.
The end game they want is that you will own nothing , eat bugs and they will control all resources and consumption .
They want to control all information and free speech , and AI and Robots are part of the replacement technology planned to eliminate humans being instrumental in their fate. Being Dependent on Government for survival by a Universal income is part of the plan as they eliminate 50 % of job globally by their technology.
The current systems are not sustainable if they implement all their planned Great Reset New World Order take over.
And its apparent that these Entities that are above the laws are homicidal and genocidal in their plans that would create massive depopulation for humanity.

    Just saying.

    1. The fact that a Muslim commie is probably going to be the next mayor of NYC goes to show that the globalists have not given up.

        1. When Cuomo ran my first thought was “Really? Is this a joke?”

Obviously Adams is persona non grata with the Dems. I too am hoping he will win in November as an independent.

        2. Cuomo killed at least 80,000 with his nursing home COVID-19 “preventive measures.” He’s also the epitome of the corrupt, crony capitalist status quo within the Democrat-Bolshevik party. It should come as no surprise that New Yorkers rejected more of the same from the globalist toadies of the Establishment Democrat Party.

      1. I was going to also say that the 2030 UN Sustainable Earth Agenda is a blueprint toward what these Entities plan on doing .
They will used any ideology necessary to bring about this One World Order takeover , but the end game is slavery and control and no freedom for the populations of the World.
Communism is where the Government owns all means of production and it is dispersed to the populations , each according to its ability each according to need.
In this overall end game, the Richest Entities on earth partner with Governments to control all resources and consumption of the 99%.
The evidence shows they want to take populations to City Centers and you will own nothing and eat whatever they give you. Vaccines will be mandated and you will be under a 24/7 surveillance grid.
They are going about the process of the collapse of prior systems in order to bring about this forced One World Order.
They basically view human populations as competition for the resources of earth , so they want that competition to be eliminated by ongoing warfare against humanity.
Seriously, this plan by psychotic and inhuman Entities is shocking and outrageous , but they have always been the invisible hand stopping the advancement and thriving of the human race.
Its very hard to believe , but nothing else explains the ongoing events Worldwide.

      2. Tuesday night’s results have already sent shockwaves through the ranks of the wealthy looking to buy or sell NYC apartments, said Briggs Elwell, CEO of consultant RLTYco.

LMAO. Wealthy NYC libtards have been the architects & authors of the Great Replacement. It’s poetic justice to see these globalist scum personally impacted by what they’ve been trying to impose on the rest of the country with their open borders & facilitating the mass 3rd World invasion of the former USA.

        1. Democrats turn on Zohran Mamdani over anti-Semitism accusations

Returning from the Nato summit in the Netherlands, Donald Trump branded the 33-year-old a “communist lunatic”.

He wrote on Truth Social: “It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line.

Mr Trump added: “He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, dummies ALL, backing him, and even our great Palestinian senator, cryin’ Chuck Schumer, is grovelling over him. Yes, this is a big moment in the history of our country!”

In another post, Mr Trump suggested that Mr Mamdani’s appointment, along with other democrats, could “screw” the country.

He said: “I have an idea for the Democrats to bring them back into ‘play’.”

“The Democrats should nominate low IQ candidate, Jasmine Crockett, for president, and AOC+3 should be, respectively, vice president, and three high level members of the Cabinet – added together with our future communist mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, and our country is really SCREWED!”

  9. Unifor Auto Industry Council confronts tariff threats, calls for urgent government action

Delegates of the Unifor Auto Industry Council gathered in London, Ontario, on June 24 to focus on defending Canada’s auto industry from the ongoing threat of U.S. tariffs and demand immediate action from the federal government to protect Canadian autoworkers.

With the fast-approaching self-imposed July 21 deadline to reach a trade agreement with the U.S., National President Lana Payne warned that accepting any form of tariff normalization would be disastrous for workers and investment.

“We need to be clear that we will not accept embedded tariffs,” Payne said. “The normalization of tariffs will see the bleed of jobs and investment to the United States—we will never accept that. No deal is better than a bad deal that shortchanges the auto sector and autoworkers.”

Payne outlined recent engagements with federal ministers and top executives at the Detroit Three, stressing the importance of ensuring companies are held accountable for their Canadian commitments.

“Canadians are not in a mood to support American companies that penalize Canadian workers in order to appease Trump,” Payne said. “We expect them to live up to their commitments to all of our facilities in Canada and we will hold them accountable to their investments.”

Trevor Longpre, newly elected Chairperson of the GM Council, raised alarms about the instability affecting GM’s Canadian operations.

“At Oshawa and CAMI, we’re already seeing the early consequences of instability—job cuts, production threats,” said Longpre. “It’s why this Council’s work and unity is more important than ever. We must push back, stay informed, and stay loud.”

As Canada faces the mounting threat of U.S. protectionism, the Unifor Auto Industry Council sent a clear message: Canadian workers will not quietly accept the erosion of their industry, their jobs, or their future.

  10. Family in limbo: Flood insurance issues force them to relocate

YOUNGSVILLE, La. (KLFY) — A family of four is stuck without their home after it flooded with three to four inches of water in April.

“It’s very stressful. We’re having to live with family members because, of course, flood insurance doesn’t cover any housing expenses. So, we have to stay with family and have to drive back and forth. It’s beginning to be a lot. School starts in August, and I’m just really wanting us to be able to be in the home and be comfortable where the kids can start off the school year in their own home,” said Irene Sinegal.

A claim was filed and Sinegal says they are expecting $71,690.84 in building property and $26,510.77 in personal property.

“It’s been three weeks, and we still haven’t received anything,” she said. “It’s nothing like being in your own home like I said, my kids have their rooms over here. They have to share a room now. It’s just that it’s taken a toll. It’s very stressful and frustrating. You think you pay insurance, and you’re covered and still nothing is being done.”

  11. San Jose allows unhoused individuals who resist housing to be arrested

San Jose’s City Council approved a proposal yesterday that will allow law enforcement to penalize unhoused individuals who resist shelter.

The controversial policy calls for the formation of a new police unit, who will enforce citations and arrests at their discretion. The plan was approved in a 9-to-2 vote.

Mayor Matt Mahan says the policy will help unhoused people who struggle with drug addiction or mental illness to access health services. Opponents argue that threatening vulnerable people with arrest creates distrust.

Councilmember Pamela Campos voted against the measure. She says it frames being unhoused as a choice, instead of acknowledging the larger systems contributing to homelessness.

  12. So the buyers that are coming into the market are all fighting for the best properties, the ones that are perfectly priced, and all have checked all the boxes.’”

The buyers coming into the market now will shortly be joining the previous FOMO lemmings in packing the express trains to Schlongville.

  13. Maine Border Patrol Puts Out Promo Video Showing Deportation Flight Set to Guns N’ Roses

Maine’s U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Sector on Wednesday released a promotional video to social media depicting a deportation flight set to “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses.

“Welcome aboard the U.S. Border Patrol Express: We fly one way, and it ain’t back,” the caption attached to the video reads.

The video, put out by the official social media pages for USBP Houlton Sector, shows illegal aliens being walked in handcuffs and shackles onto a U.S. Coast Guard plane, which then takes off.

“Welcome to the Jungle,” Guns N’ Roses’ hit opener to their 1987 debut album Appetite for Destruction, plays as the deportation flight clears the runway.

The sector has also been announcing high profile arrests with more frequency. Most recently, an Egyptian national with alleged ties to a terrorist organization was arrested by Border Patrol in Pittsfield late last month.

Multiple illegal alien gang members have been arrested in Maine in recent months, including a Salvadoran MS-13 member wanted by Interpol for murder, and a member of the Venezuelan criminal street gang Tren de Aragua.

So far in fiscal year 2025, the agency has made 456 arrests, already overtaking the totals from 2024 (344 arrests), 2023 (300 arrests) and 2022 (303 arrests).

A little context here, REIC shills: these cost cuts come after the Fed-juiced speculative mania unleashed during the scamdemic. Median shack prices have a lot further to fall before they align with median incomes, especially as the “cost of living crisis” unleashed by the Fed’s expansion of the money supply bites deeper.

  15. Protestors urge WA governor to pardon Vietnamese man deported to Africa

SEATTLE — Protestors gathered outside Gov. Bob Ferguson’s Downtown Seattle office on Tuesday, demanding he intervene in the case of a Vietnamese migrant who was deported to Africa, where he has no prior connection.

Tuan Phan, who served more than 20 years in prison for first-degree murder and second-degree assault, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in March shortly after his release from a state prison in Eastern Washington. His family had expected he would be deported to Vietnam.

Instead, he and seven other formerly incarcerated individuals were placed on a flight bound for South Sudan.

The plane was ultimately diverted to Djibouti in East Africa, where Phan remains in custody.

“My husband is currently on a U.S. Navy base in Djibouti, East Africa,” Phan’s wife Gnoc Phan said. “He’s living in a shipping container in shackles. He is waiting for the court process to play out.”

The demonstration began on the sidewalk outside the governor’s office in downtown Seattle but moved into the building’s lobby as protesters chanted “Bring Tuan home!”

His wife, Gnoc Phan, who led the rally, demanded a meeting with Gov. Ferguson, but was told by the building’s security that he was not in the building. “I’m very disappointed,” she said quietly, after learning he would not appear. “My message to the governor is to please, please talk to us and hold a meeting with me so we can talk about my husband. His life is at stake.”

Gnoc and supporters are urging the governor to issue a pardon, which they believe could help bring Phan back to the United States.

The deportation comes in the wake of a divided U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allows the federal government to deport migrants to countries other than their country of origin. The decision overturned a previous court order that required migrants be given the opportunity to challenge such deportations.

“This isn’t just about my husband,” Phan’s wife said. “This is about thousands of people who could now be deported anywhere in the world without due process.”

    1. “This isn’t just about my husband,” Phan’s wife said. “This is about thousands of people who could now be deported anywhere in the world without due process.”

Your husband took advantage of America’s misplaced hospitality to play the gangster and commit felonies, with American taxpayers picking up the costs for his 20-year incarceration. Lesson learned. The only crime here is that this invader wasn’t sent back to Vietnam along with his entire extended family after he abused our hospitality.

  16. Division Over ICE Raids Flares up in Orange

While two of Orange County’s largest cities, Santa Ana and Anaheim – both with large Latino communities – posted resources online to help immigrant families impacted by ICE raids, Orange city leaders balked at the idea this week.

Orange city council members launched into a sharp debate Tuesday night over the idea of listing resources on the city website for impacted immigrant families.

City Councilwomen Arianna Barrios and Ana Gutierrez called on their colleagues to support the proposal after reacting to the Saturday arrest of Narciso Barranco – a 48-year-old landscaper who made national news after federal immigration agents punched him in the head while he was face down in the middle of a Santa Ana street, a detention captured in videos posted to social media.

Yet her take drew a sharp response from Councilman Jon Dumitru, who bristled at the proposal, saw Barranco’s situation through a starkly different lens, saying he tried assaulting federal agents – echoing a Department of Homeland Security social media post.

“I take umbrage with using Mr. Barranco as an icon of civility. The man was fleeing the police. He swung his tools at him, if you see the whole video, and he tries to attempt a carjacking during that process, the whole video is actually very telling,” Dumitru said at Tuesday’s council meeting. “Should what have happened after he was restrained continue? No, that was wrong.”

Barranco’s son, 25-year-old Orange resident Alejandro Barranco, disputes that characterization of events.

“No – nowhere in the video is the weedwacker anywhere near the agents,” Alejandro Barranco said in a Tuesday interview.

“I feel so mad about it still,” said Alejandro Barranco, who’s also a landscaper. “It hurts alot.”

Gutierrez also said there’s been immigration sweeps in her neighborhood. “Just two weeks ago in my neighborhood in El Modena, ICE apprehended a Latino man in the parking lot of the old Ace Hardware. Word got out quickly, rumors were flying and fear was struck into my neighborhood. No one felt safe to come out, regardless of legal status,” she said.

The councilwoman then said the sweeps landed right in front of her porch.

“Just two days after that, in front of my home, I, along with my daughter and my neighbors, witnessed immigration randomly pick up another Latino man who was walking down the sidewalk, place him in a van and swiftly drive him away within less than 30 seconds,” Gutierrez said.

Gutierrez criticized the ICE raids. “This despicable, inhumane manner of enforcing immigration laws is attempting to break us, incite fear, terrorize us, round up whomever with or without cause, legal or not legal, and pushes for self deportation,” she said. “This is Operation Wetback from 1954 all over again.”

  18. ICE agents arrest 14 people during immigration raid at Pittsburgh-area restaurant

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested 14 people during an operation at a Mexican restaurant in Allegheny County on Wednesday, ICE officials said.

A spokesperson for ICE told KDKA that 14 undocumented migrants were arrested for “immigration violations” during the operation at Tepache Mexican Kitchen and Bar in Marshall Township.

Jamie Martinez and other immigration advocates came to show support for those arrested on Wednesday. Martinez is the community defense organizer for Casa San José, a non-profit community resource center that advocates for Latinos. It provides social services, youth programming, health services and more to the Latino community in the Pittsburgh area.

“As they were walked out, they would wave at us and tell us thank you for being there with tears streaming down their face in fear,” Martinez said.

“If it’s true that these people today are undocumented … why does Casa San José feel they should be allowed to stay without documentation?” KDKA’s Jennifer Borrasso asked Martinez.

“Every human being should be afforded dignity,” he said. “Every human being has inherent dignity tied to them. What we are seeing right now, above all else, is violations of that dignity.”

The 14 people are now in ICE custody, the spokesperson said, but they did not say where the 14 people were taken.

So, detaining people who entered the country illegally robs them of their dignity? What would they suggest? A written invitation to turn themselves in?

  19. ICE officials say job site raids in Huntsville have been ‘very successful’

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Officials with the Alabama & Georgia division of HSIS, a part of ICE, say job site immigration enforcement has been “very successful.”

“Anyone that employs illegal aliens, we’ll be coming,” P.J. Lavoie, assistant special agent in charge of Alabama’s HSI division, said.

That’s the message from Lavoie after the arrest of 36 undocumented immigrants at a construction site of a high school in Gulf Shores. Lavoie’s superior, Steven Schrank, says that wasn’t the first time it’s happened in Alabama.

Just like the Gulf Shores work site and others, ICE agents are tipped off to where illegal immigrants may be working. To have probable cause, they only need to confirm one individual is undocumented to then search the entire business.

“It is not random,” Schrank said. “It is not just showing up at a place, knocking on the door, and saying ‘Hey, do you have any illegal aliens in the back?’ We are going out to businesses that are known or suspected of hiring or harboring illegal aliens.”

But if you’re the one employing them, you’re not in the clear either. What about those doing the hiring?

“We can take criminal or civil action against those employers,” Schrank said. “They could be fined or they could even face jail time. We have ongoing criminal investigations against employers.”

  20. The same buyer will return a day later with an offer $20,000 below their previous one. A week later, they reduce their offer to $50,000 below that.

  21. California Official Under Investigation After Slamming Gangs for ‘Not Showing Up’ Against ICE Raids: ‘Your Hood is Being Invaded’

A California vice mayor is reportedly under federal investigation after a viral TikTok video appeared to show her criticizing local gangs for staying silent during recent ICE raids.

Cynthia Gonzalez, who serves as vice mayor of Cudahy, a small city in southeast Los Angeles County, posted a now-deleted video where she appeared to challenge gangs to take action against “the biggest gang there is,” referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), FOX 11 reported.

In the video, Gonzalez appears to taunt gang members for failing to defend their communities.

“You guys are all about territory,” Gonzalez said. “This is 18th street, this is Florencia. You guys tag everything up, claiming hood, and now that your hood is being invaded by the biggest gang there is, there isn’t a peep out of you.”

“Don’t be trying to claim no block, no nothing, if you’re not showing up right now,” she continued.

Sources told the outlet that federal officials are investigating Gonzalez for the comments, which some law enforcement groups have interpreted as incitement. Gonzalez allegedly confirmed the FBI probe in a Facebook post, writing, “I need a lawyer. The FBI just came to my house.”

  22. We believe the minister is correct in advocating for stability in housing prices. The criticism stems from a misconception that a price collapse is essential for restoring affordability.

Hard to believe that even K-dan cucks still get their news & information from the globalist scum media that prints such dreck. A price collapse is absolutely essential for restoring sanity to Canada’s housing market – and our own. If that bankrupts a few million FBs & speculators, & takes down reckless lenders, so much, the better.

  23. Canadians want a government that protects the value of their assets and safeguards their pensions and savings, not the other way around.”

Maybe the K-dans who elected globalist quisling governments who scurry to carry out the diktats of the WEF & international financiers should be more concerned about securing a future for their children.

  24. What is interesting about the ICE raids is that they have simply reverted to historical activity. This is how it was done for decades.

That illegals and their advocates are losing their minds just goes to show how easy illegals have had it for years. They can get driver’s licenses, they can get welfare, they can get medicaid, they were hired by local governments, they were under no fear of being deported. They were defacto green card holders. Now that is over and they are going insane.

Also, the fact that ICE is going after employers is going to create real pressure. If illegals lose their jobs they may have no choice other than to self deport.

  25. Community members providing assistance to local undocumented residents impacted by increased immigration enforcement in LA

LOS ANGELES — Although she’s lived in the country for 40 years, she’s afraid to go to work for the first time. Ofelia, who didn’t provide her last name out of fear for her safety, was born in Mexico, and has been making a living in LA as a street vendor for years.

After recent changes by the city in the MacArthur Park area, which blocked some vendors from setting up shop and the rapid increase of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, like many street vendors, she’s afraid to work.

“We can’t go out to sell, even if we go out to sell, we are not selling anything because the people that would buy from us they are afraid to go out, too,” Ofelia said. “They don’t have money and if they do have money, they are afraid to spend it because of everything that’s going on.”

A report by USC showed there are roughly 900,000 undocumented individuals living in LA, and with many of them living in the region for decades, working and raising families, some community members are fed up with how their neighbors are being impacted.

    1. Although she’s lived in the country for 40 years, she’s afraid to go to work for the first time.

I call BS on this, 40 years ago, in 1985, illegals were still being rounded up and deported, unlike recently when they were tacitly told they were here to stay.

  26. Man deported to Matamoros following arrest at San Benito restaurant

A 22-year-old man was deported to Matamoros after he was arrested Monday at his place of work. Alexis Vasquez said he is with his family after he was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

“Unfortunately, it was my turn for ICE to get me there at work,” Vasquez said.

Vasquez said he was a server and cashier at Taqueria El Mante in San Benito for around a year. He said within four hours of getting detained, he was back in Mexico after signing a form to leave the country voluntarily.

“Yesterday, we couldn’t even concentrate at work,” Vasquez said. “We were all nervous, scared of what could happen.”

ICE agents showed up to Taqueria El Mante and detained a total of eight people, including Vasquez. A viral video shows ICE agents showing up to the restaurant and asking for the manager. People in the video are heard telling management to not let the federal agents in.

In a statement from ICE, a spokesperson said agents visited two businesses in Harlingen and San Benito on Monday and arrested a total of 12 people. ICE raids have been happening across the Rio Grande Valley within the last few weeks.

“They first started with tire shops, then they moved on with construction sites,” immigration attorney Susana Silva said. “I know they are moving on, or have already moved on to houses individually.”

Silva is not connected to Vasquez’s case. She said it’s important for people to know their rights when it comes to ICE raids, especially those who are recording what’s happening. Silva said people should not get aggressive because it could lead to charges.

“If they do tend to detain you as an ICE agent, I can only imagine it’ll be some kind of state offense, whether it’s intervening with the detention of undocumented immigrants, which would be a minor offense,” Silva said.

Vasquez said he’s getting situated back home.

  27. 12 Killed, 20 Injured As Gunmen Open Fire At Saint John Celebration In Mexico’s Irapuato City

Mexico City: At least 12 people were killed and nearly 20 others wounded in a brutal overnight attack in the Mexican city of Irapuato, located in the state of Guanajuato, after gunmen opened fire during a festive street celebration honouring St. John the Baptist, local authorities have confirmed.

The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday (local time) as residents gathered to dance and drink in a community housing complex. A video circulating on social media captured moments of joy — a live band playing, people dancing — before panic erupted as gunshots rang out, sending the crowd fleeing in terror.

Rodolfo Gomez Cervantes, a local official from Irapuato, addressed a press conference on Wednesday, confirming that the death toll had risen to 12 and that about 20 others were receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the attack.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum condemned the violence and called for swift justice.

“It is very unfortunate what happened. An investigation is underway,” she said in a statement, as federal and state security forces scrambled to piece together what transpired and identify those responsible.

Guanajuato, a state situated northwest of Mexico City, has become one of Mexico’s most violent regions in recent years. Criminal groups have been waging deadly turf wars for control over drug routes, extortion networks, and other illicit enterprises.

The state recorded 1,435 homicides in the first five months of 2025 — more than double the number seen in any other Mexican state, according to local media reports.

This latest massacre comes just a day after five people were killed in separate violent incidents across Guanajuato, according to the state attorney general’s office.

It also follows a similar attack last month, when gunmen stormed a Catholic Church event in the town of San Bartolo de Berrios, killing seven attendees.

Authorities have yet to name suspects or confirm which criminal organisation may be behind the recent violence in Irapuato. Investigations are underway.

    1. Mexico’s “hugs not bullets” (actual name) security strategy doesn’t seem to be tamping down narco-violence.

    2. Authorities have yet to name suspects or confirm which criminal organisation may be behind the recent violence in Irapuato.

I’ll bet 5 pesos that this will end up in the memory hole.
