Sentiment Is Changing Rapidly, With Sellers Unable To Achieve The Prices Of 2021

A report from Mortgage Professional America. “Santander Bank LLC, a Spain-based global banking group with more than 145 million customers in the US, will have laid off more than 50 employees by the first week of April, according to a state regulatory filing. The move comes as Santander has opted to stop its mortgage origination business, according to multiple media reports. The cuts also come at a time when the mortgage industry is bracing for furloughs as the refinancing boom comes to an end in light of rising interest rates.”

“California-based Winnpointe Corp., doing business as Interactive Mortgage, plans to lay off more than 50 employees by April, according to a WARN notice. Zillow Group Inc. continues to lay off workers after the failure of its Zillow Offers home-flipping product, with 55 additional job cuts expected by April. In correspondence to state officials, the company wrote of plans to cut 19 jobs in Tampa, Fla., by April 18, and 36 more in Centennial, Colo., by March 21. Texas-based Stearns Lending LLC alerted officials of plans to lay off 348 employees by the end of January in a move prompted by the closure of its wholesale channel after its acquisition by Guaranteed Rate, one of the nation’s largest retail mortgage lenders.”

“All told, the four companies – Zillow Offers, Interactive Mortgage, Stearns Lending and Santander – collectively have cut 546 jobs since the beginning of the year. And late last year, Better.com unceremoniously cut 900 jobs during an infamous Zoom conference. In addition, Home Point Capital laid off nearly 10% of its workforce.”

A press release. “The number of homes bought and then sold by iBuyers soared to new heights in 2021. The median price of homes sold using an iBuying service dipped to $372,100 in Q4, but remained above the overall U.S. median sale price of $335,060. In 24 of the 33 metro areas for which data is available, the median price of homes sold using an iBuying service was less than the overall median sale price in that metro. Of homes that were bought and sold by an iBuyer in Q4, the median markup – the difference between the purchase price and sale price – was 1.1%. That’s up from a revised 0.7% in Q3, but is the second-lowest figure in any quarter since 2018, when Zillow began tracking this data. The median markup was 7% in Q4 2020 and reached a record high of 8.6% in Q1 2021.”

The San Antonio Express News. “Controversial celebrity house-flipper, Armando Montelongo has taken his $1.2 million Dominion-area mansion off the market after two months without any offers. The home-flipping, reality TV personality-turned-public speaker listed the lavish 6,000-square-foot home in December. The listing was pulled at the end of January. In 2014, Montelongo purchased the five-bedroom 4 and ½ bathroom home for $620,000, property records show. The home was last appraised at $833,480.”

From 5280 in Colorado. “Mark Donaldson called the police at 5:34 a.m. on August 14, 2020. He never saw the person who stole the bicycle, the electric saw, and the gas-powered weed wacker from the backyard of his house in east Denver. He remembers looking out his kitchen window early that morning; he remembers how the first trickle of light was filtering onto his dirt-and-grass lawn, illuminating the chain-link fence, the alleyway, and the broken padlock dangling from the gate. ‘Well, shit,’ he thought to himself.”

The San Francisco Chronicle in California. “Despite empty office buildings and rows of shuttered retail — and open air drug dealing that has become so bad that in December the city declared a state of emergency — residents are moving into the long-troubled heart of San Francisco’s main street. The traffic of potential buyers to the Serif condos at 950 Market St. has doubled since February as COVID cases started to drop. About 50 condos out of 242 have sold there.”

“Signature housing projects at 50 Jones, 1028 Market and 950 Market missed the Mid-Market tech boom, instead opening at a time when the pandemic had left office buildings deserted, foot traffic sparse and storefronts boarded up. ‘So much closed down on Market Street during the pandemic,’ said Simon Bertrang, executive director of the Tenderloin Community Benefit District. ‘It’s not a very active place right now.'”

The Globe and Mail in Canada. “In the Toronto-area market for single family homes, some house hunters have backed away from the heat. ‘When the sellers are humbled a little bit, it restores balance,’ says Christopher Bibby, broker with Re/Max Hallmark Bibby Group Realty. Mr. Bibby says many in the industry are growing concerned that the most eye-watering deals will fall through if the bank asks for an appraisal and the result comes in below the sale price. ‘At the end of the day, it’s the bank that owns the house – not the person putting down 20 or 30 per cent.'”

From News.com.au in Australia. “Actor Guy Peace is selling his Victorian hideaway just 10 months after purchasing it but is expected to make a loss of $50,000. The 54-year-old snapped up the five-bedroom, three bathroom home in the regional town of Beremboke back in April for $1.2 million. The star has listed the property for sale with an asking price between $1.05 million and $1.15 million.”

From Newshub New Zealand. “National property values grew by 0.8 percent in February, marking the lowest monthly gain since September 2020, according to the CoreLogic House Price Index. Analysis of recent sales shows sentiment is ‘changing rapidly,’ with vendors (sellers) ‘unable to achieve the prices of 2021.’ Referring to the sharp drop in the monthly rate of growth as indicating a ‘clear change in trend,’ CoreLogic head of research Nick Goodall said the HPI is expected to dip further over the coming months. ‘Regional differences will also start to appear, as local economies, recent first-home buyers and property investors all react differently to the changing environment,’ Goodall said.”

  1. ‘the median price of homes sold using an iBuying service was less than the overall median sale price in that metro’

    Undercutting the market, good good.

‘Of homes that were bought and sold by an iBuyer in Q4, the median markup – the difference between the purchase price and sale price – was 1.1%. That’s up from a revised 0.7% in Q3, but is the second-lowest figure in any quarter since 2018, when Zillow began tracking this data’

Hmmm, the REIC keeps saying it’s red hotness? 1% is a fraction of inflation.

      1. One possible outcome: This angry midget’s reign will be stopped by his own people when they shove him head first into one of his mansion’s gold plated toilets for a swirly while he’s getting a BCCI style banker’s deliverance. Then they’ll hang from the nearest thing capable of supporting his weight. The video will be posted on-line.

The International Cat Federation says it has banned Russian cats from its international competitions in the latest rebuke to Russia since it invaded Ukraine last week.

      1. Since when do cats have nationality. citizenship or passports?

Anyway, yet another example of just how pathetic the west has become.

  2. ‘Despite empty office buildings and rows of shuttered retail — and open air drug dealing that has become so bad that in December the city declared a state of emergency — residents are moving into the long-troubled heart of San Francisco’s main street’

When I started reading this I thought, are they really going for a glass half full?

You’ll have to read the sorry tale of Denver yerself. What a sh$thole that has become.

    1. From the Dumver story:

When his wife, Denise, took a job in Denver as a traveling nurse in 2017, Donaldson knew this East Colfax neighborhood might have some issues. The house was a few blocks off the main artery, which has long been notorious for nefarious activity. Still, the neighborhood was ethnically and socioeconomically diverse, something that was important to the couple.

So they moved into a crime infested neighborhood because of ideology.

Donaldson, 42, had always accepted the transient population as part of the fabric of the community.

And he wonders why he has been burglarized more than once.

Between the August 14, 2020, break-in at Donaldson’s house and late December 2021, nine people were murdered within the 16 blocks that make up the neighborhood

To quote the Knight in the Indiana Jones movie: “He chose poorly”

      1. I didn’t finish the article yet, but what I’ve read so far confirms: vote like California, become California.

      2. Between the August 14, 2020, break-in at Donaldson’s house and late December 2021, nine people were murdered within the 16 blocks that make up the neighborhood
Wow, just wow! And they voluntarily bought a place there because of the “diversity?” Ideology/ Being a Social Justice Warrior is a crazy thing.

        1. Since they are Vibrants themselves, perhaps they expected to be exempt from the consequences of Vibrancy.

9 murders in a 16 block area. And to think that Denver was once a nice place.

          1. perhaps they expected to be exempt from the consequences of Vibrancy.
Yes I saw that they were black but why move to an area “which has long been notorious for nefarious activity.” according to the article. Traveling nurses can make a ton of money so I suspect they are doing fairly well. Maybe I am just getting too old and have no patience for dealing with crap anymore.

          2. but why move to an area “which has long been notorious for nefarious activity.”

Because ideology, I guess. Why do people say, after their child dies from a bad reaction to the jab, that it was the right thing to do and they would do it again?

          3. These houses were built in the 1950s. At the time, the Donaldsons wouldn’t even be allowed to buy into this neighborhood. Even now, there are still places where Blacks aren’t accepted socially even if they are legal. I can’t say I blame the Donaldsons for looking for diversity. They wanted to make sure that they weren’t on an all-white block.

          4. Even now, there are still places where Blacks aren’t accepted socially

Do the Salvadorans in your neighborhood socialize with blacks?

      3. actually impressed that this magazine (catering to real estate glossies) published this detailed article.

The Denver Post would never do this work – too busy repeating politicians’ taking points.

Man who smeared feces in a woman’s face on subway platform is already back on NYC’s streets: Menace is released without bail despite being arrested 44 times in the past and just weeks after threatening store employee with screwdriver during robbery

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10571207/Man-smeared-feces-womans-face-subway-NYCs-streets.html

The man accused of smearing feces in a woman’s face on the subway, is already back out on New York City’s streets – a regular pattern for the criminal menace who has been arrested 44 times only to be released to terrorize another New Yorker.

Just one week before the horrifying subway attack, Frank Abrokwa had been arrested for allegedly threatening a hardware store employee with a screwdriver but had been released without bail.

    1. The Truth Is Coming Out About COVID Deaths

‘You might wonder why doctors and hospital administrators insist on using treatments known to be ineffective at best and deadly at worst, while stubbornly refusing to administer anything that has been shown to work, be it intravenous vitamin C, hydroxychloroquine and zinc, ivermectin or corticosteroids.’

‘The most likely answer is because they’re protecting their bottom line. In the U.S., hospitals not only risk losing federal funding if they administer these treatments, but they also get a variety of incentives for doing all the wrong things. Hospitals receive payments for:’

      COVID testing for all patients
      COVID diagnoses
      Admitting a “COVID patient”
      Use of remdesivir
      Use of mechanical ventilation
      COVID deaths

‘What’s worse, there’s evidence that certain hospital systems, and perhaps all of them, have waived patients’ rights, making anyone diagnosed with COVID a virtual prisoner of the hospital, with no ability to exercise informed consent. In short, hospitals are doing whatever they want with patients, and they have every incentive to maltreat them, and no incentive to give them treatments other than that dictated to them by the National Institutes of Health.’

‘As reported by Citizens Journal, the U.S. government actually pays hospitals a “bonus” on the entire hospital bill if they use remdesivir, a drug shown to cause severe organ damage. Even coroners are given bonuses for every COVID-19 death.’

A Bounty Has Been Placed on Your Life

“What does this mean for your health and safety as a patient in the hospital?” Citizens Journal asks. Without mincing words, it means your health is in severe jeopardy. Citizen Journal likens government-directed COVID treatments to a bounty placed on your life, where payouts are tied to your decline, not your recovery.”

“For Remdesivir, studies show that 71–75% of patients suffer an adverse effect, and the drug often had to be stopped after five to 10 days because of these effects, such as kidney and liver damage, and death,” Citizen Journal writes.’

“Remdesivir trials during the 2018 West African Ebola outbreak had to be discontinued because death rate exceeded 50%. Yet, in 2020, Anthony Fauci directed that Remdesivir was to be the drug hospitals use to treat COVID-19, even when the COVID clinical trials of Remdesivir showed similar adverse effects.”

“In ventilated patients, the death toll is staggering … [attorney Thomas] Renz announced at a Truth for Health Foundation Press Conference that CMS data showed that in Texas hospitals, 84.9% percent of all patients died after more than 96 hours on a ventilator.”

“Then there are deaths from restrictions on effective treatments for hospitalized patients. Renz and a team of data analysts have estimated that more than 800,000 deaths in America’s hospitals, in COVID-19 and other patients, have been caused by approaches restricting fluids, nutrition, antibiotics, effective antivirals, anti-inflammatories, and therapeutic doses of anti-coagulants.”

“We now see government-dictated medical care at its worst in our history since the federal government mandated these ineffective and dangerous treatments for COVID-19, and then created financial incentives for hospitals and doctors to use only those ‘approved’ (and paid for) approaches.”

“Our formerly trusted medical community of hospitals and hospital-employed medical staff have effectively become ‘bounty hunters’ for your life. Patients need to now take unprecedented steps to avoid going into the hospital for COVID-19. Patients need to take active steps to plan before getting sick to use early home-based treatment of COVID-19 that can help you save your life.”

You don’t have to watch the whole list to get the gist.

          1. Anyone associated with the WEF better go into hiding. The world is coming for you.

I sure wish this were the case. It would be such a beautiful thing if the entire globe turned on all of these people and started rounding them up and publicly executing them. ALL OF THEM. They are using crisis after crisis to impoverish the masses and steal every asset on earth.

    2. From the article: “That “could be beneficial in the long run, by engaging new immune cells that the original vaccine did not bring into play,” ”

You get the same from contracting Omicron itself. Which is my choice.

Note: I never received an mRNA vaccine.

      1. So you think your J&J shot is more safer? Are they even allowed to give those anymore?

Will ending the State of Emergency will open those pharma companies to a can of whoop-ass, or end the sale of the shots?

        1. Peter McCulloch said that J&J was the “safest,” although he wouldn’t say necessarily safe. And it seems that these articles are specifying “mRNA” vaccines.

      2. You keep making that distinction like it matters. You may not have the LNPs and pseudouridine but you’re still a toxic spike protein factory of greater duration and at greater risk of that DNA integrating into your genome.

        1. I did the calculations for someone in Steve Kirsch’s comments section last month and J&J was IIRC less than 2% of administered doses. J&J is flying under the radar right now.

The only Great Reset that needs to take place is the People have to take back the hijacked Governments from the Globalists .
Everything the Globalist do is based on defrauding and false narratives, black out and censorship of dispute or truth.
So much evidence has come out recently that the fake vaccines should be stopped , but that’s blacked out.
People can’t make valid decisions when they are victims of fraud news. Its fake news regarding the Russian Ukraine conflict also.
The Globalists aren’t going to allow a return to normal, and it will be one crisis after another based on fraud.
Its shocking how much damage these sinister forces have accomplish in two years , starting with the Covid Scam, useless lockdowns useless masks, etc.
Its looks like people are starting to come out of this fake news brainwashing, than they divert to a new distraction. Its all warfare against the populations of the World. The truth sets you free, but unfortunately the Globalists don’t want people to be free or alive actually. What else can explain this other than a depopulation agenda.
At first I thought they just wanted to make a bunch of money off the vaccines , and get policies of mandated vaccines for profit. But no, they knew how toxic these vaccines are. They know how killing bad the Fauci Protocols in hospitals are.
Stay away from captured entities like hospital systems.

What are your thoughts on the guys from The Duran? They had to remove some of their videos from YouTube, particularly the one with the American in Kyiv, because propaganda outlets from all sides were chopping up their work and spinning it for different purposes. You can also find them on Rumble or https://theduran.locals.com/.

I like that they’re both ex-US (one in the UK, one in Greece) and not caught up in the Western globalist media spin. They both seem very knowledgeable about the region and its history.

They get to decide who is an “oligarch.” Meanwhile, it’s oligarchs on parade in the US as they steal everything of value.

  12. Who had the bright idea to send Headboard Harris to diffuse this?

Remarks by Vice President Harris in Press Gaggle
    FEBRUARY 20, 2022

    SPEECHES AND REMARKS
    The Westin Grand Munich
    Munich, Germany

Q But if Putin has made up his mind, do you feel that this threat that has been looming is really going to deter him?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Absolut- — we strongly believe — and remember also that the sanctions are a product not only of our perspective as the United States but a shared perspective among our Allies.

Q Thank you, Madam Vice President. A question about something else that President Zelenskyy said yesterday relating to NATO. He seemed to question the sincerity of Allies, including the U.S., I think, in terms of a desire to admit Ukraine to NATO.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Let me start by saying I appreciate and admire President Zelenskyy’s desire to join NATO.

Q Was it surprising to you, though, that he planted that flag so firmly on that issue — given that that’s obviously Putin’s main demand, is that he gets some sort of guarantee, swearing that Ukraine won’t be admitted —

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I’m not going to second guess President Zelenskyy’s desires for his own country. But I will say this: Let us recognize the position he is in right now. His country is virtually surrounded by Russian troops. I believe he came here — this is my belief, based on just my own assessment and speculation — he came here to make a very clear point that he does not stand alone.

In fact, I told him in our meeting, “The United States stands with you.” Because we do, as do this community of Allies and partners.

So I understand where he — why he came here. And I would not second guess — I will not second guess why he spoke the words he speaks.

  14. Video: Man Ordered To Leave Televised Q&A For Expressing Wrongthink On Russia

    by Steve Watson
    March 4th 2022, 6:20 am

The audience member Sasha Gillies-Lekakis was speaking on a live Australian debate show when he expressed support for Russia’s actions in Ukraine, angering other audience members and surprising the host of the show, Stan Grant.

“As someone who comes from the Russian community here in Australia, I’ve been pretty outraged by the narrative depicted by our media, with Ukraine as the good guy and Russia as the bad guy,” Gillies-Lekakis said.

“Believe it or not, there are a lot of Russians here and around the world that support what Putin’s doing in Ukraine, myself included,” he added before claiming that Ukraine has previously “besieged” the Russian populations in Donetsk and Luhansk, killing thousands of people.

Other audience members heckled him and yelled ‘propaganda’ and ‘lies’, while the host Grant moved the program on.

“Something has been bothering me,” Grant said, adding “people here have been talking about family who are suffering and people who are dying. Can I just say – I’m just not comfortable with you being here. Could you please leave?”

“You can ask a question, but we cannot advocate violence. I should have asked you to leave then. It‘s been playing on my mind and, I’m sorry, but I have to ask you to leave,” the host added.
