In its third quarter earnings call, Finance of America leadership took pains to paint a bright future for the troubled company, which recently shuttered its forward-mortgage operations.

For the third quarter, FOA lost $302 million, due to non-cash charges related to changes changes in fair value of long-term assets and liabilities of $116 million and impairment of intangible and other long-lived assets of $138 million related to the forward mortgage business, whose shut down was announced subsequent to the quarter ending in October.

  3. Multiple sources told Bisnow that employees in New York City and Chicago were told they were losing their jobs throughout the day Tuesday. A JLL spokesperson confirmed the unspecified number of layoffs in an emailed statement to Bisnow Tuesday evening.

“JLL is continuing with measures which were already underway to align our operational structure with our global transformation and reinforce our focus on managing costs,” the spokesperson wrote. “These actions may include the difficult but necessary decision to make specific roles within our operation redundant. We are confident that the strength and resilience of our diversified business will enable us to continue to support our people during this uncertain time and deliver long-term value to our clients and shareholders.”

JLL had already spent $9.3M in severance costs in the third quarter, it disclosed in its earnings report, which was an eightfold increase over the previous year. A spokesperson for JLL at the time denied that meant the firm was reducing its headcount.

The firm said it expects to miss its previous projections for earnings this year, but it posted $140.2M in net income in the third quarter, down 41% from last year.

“Our clients are now asking us more than ever for advice,” JLL Chief Financial Officer Karen Brennan said on the Nov. 2 earnings call. “And so we’re certainly being rigorous in terms of pulling back on discretionary spending and being really focused on our costs. But we also are making sure we’re balancing that we have the talent and the people that are meeting with our clients who are asking for advice right now.”

JLL is the latest company to institute layoffs as the global economy slows.

Its biggest rival, CBRE, said in an investor presentation last month that it plans to reduce costs by $400M, $300M of which would be permanent cuts, largely in the form of staff reductions. The bulk of those layoffs was expected to happen by the end of Q1 2023.

    1. New York, NY, November 10, 2022… Dr. Albert Bourla, the Chairman and CEO of Pfizer who led the effort to successfully develop and deploy the COVID-19 vaccine while courageously speaking out against disinformation and hate, today was presented with the ADL’s highest honor, the Courage Against Hate Award. Dr. Bourla accepted the award during the closing session of ADL’s Never is Now Summit Against Antisemitism and Hate, held at the Javits Center in New York City.

“Throughout history, when people are angry or afraid, they look for someone to blame, and the pandemic was no different,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO, in presenting the award. “Dr. Bourla could have simply ignored these campaigns of disinformation and hate, but instead, he courageously spoke out. He pushed back against the conspiracy theories aimed at undermining public trust in the vaccine, and clearly denounced the odious Holocaust comparisons. And he encouraged public education efforts to counter the dangerous lies.”

  5. A man in Houston, Texas, is dead after falling off the top of an 18-wheeler that he was dancing on top of when it passed under a bridge.

Houston police say the 25-year-old man was knocked off the top of the truck around 11:35 a.m. on Thursday while dancing on it along the US-59 Eastex Freeway, unbeknownst to the driver, KRIV-TV reported.

Police say the man jumped or climbed onto the trailer and appeared to be filming himself dancing.

Video of the incident was posted online by Grizzy’s Hood News and the man can be seen ducking under one overpass before standing up again and continuing dancing.

After falling from the truck into oncoming traffic, the unidentified man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

  6. A business owner in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood said he is exhausted after having his store burglarized again and again, “I can’t afford to keep doing this,” he said.

Kevin Rinderle, owner of Yukon Trading Company, spent most of Wednesday with a security company, turning his store into a fortress.

Rinderle said his store, which sells outdoor items, has been hit about six times since June, the most recent, happening around 6 am on Monday.

“Being a small business owner, I know a lot of small business owners. We’re numb to this. We stock plywood in our back rooms and screws and keep our Skil saws on hand so we can board up windows that got broken this week. I don’t know why we pay taxes anymore,” Rinderle said.

  7. Mass Formation Psychosis.

New York Times — As the Pandemic Drags On, Americans Struggle for New Balance (11/14/2022):

“For Americans like Ms. Salomon, life has in many ways returned to something like the Before Times. Restaurants are packed, and cultural performances sold out. Children are sitting in schools, and workers are trickling back into offices. Masks are no longer required in public, even in New York City’s subways.”

    Clutch those pearls harder.

“Most Americans want to get back to normalcy and are unwilling to let Covid rule their lives any longer, Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House Covid response coordinator, said in an interview. “Those two sets of goals are achievable,” Dr. Jha said, so long as Americans keep getting vaccinated, test when necessary and wear masks in crowded public settings.”

That is a lie Dr. Iha. COVID “vaccines” are not vaccines, they are deadly poison designed and intended to kill you.

“I don’t think people have forgotten the refrigerated trucks,” said Yohuru Williams, 51, a former New Yorker, referring to the mobile morgues parked outside hospitals as bodies piled up at the height of the pandemic.”

Those hospitals genocided all of those patients, Yohuru Williams.

“But in Minneapolis, where Mr. Williams lives now, he said that “the momentum to take precautions is waning.”

On a recent flight, he said, “only one other person on the plane had a mask on.”

Time Magazine — Why Masks Still Matter (11/14/2022):

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, masks were weaponized for partisan purposes. “The politicization of mask use,” says William Hanage, infectious disease epidemiologist at Harvard University, “makes as much sense as politicizing gravity.” Masks are simply a tool—a protective barrier—that can help to reduce the spread of respiratory infections, just as condoms are a barrier that can reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections. And as we head into winter, with rising rates of multiple respiratory viruses, including flu, RSV, and new coronavirus variants, masks could help all Americans to avoid getting sick.”

Diet, exercise, and vitamin D from the Sun, Dr. Hanage.

“Mask use is on the decline in the United States. Recent public polling shows that nearly two thirds of Americans never or rarely wear a mask outside their homes, a sharp rise from just a quarter during the height of the Omicron wave in January 2022.”

The United States is not a cuck country. Masks are for cucks.

“Getting vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 is the most important step you can take to prevent severe illness from these conditions.”

Another lie. You have destroyed your immune system, and you are going to die. Make sure your will and direct beneficiaries are all updated.

    1. Idiots in charge of your Healthcare.

      Affirmation action has consequences.

  8. HuffPaint — Boston Hospital Serving Trans Youth Gets Yet Another Bomb Threat (11/16/2022):

“Amid ongoing attacks from Fox News and a vicious harassment campaign over its health center for transgender youth, Boston Children’s Hospital weathered yet another bomb threat Wednesday.

“This morning, the hospital was again the target of a bomb threat,” the Harvard-affiliated hospital said in a statement, adding that it’s “committed to ensuring the hospital is a safe and secure place for all who work here and come here.”

The bomb threat, which police determined to be a hoax after evacuating staff and patients, is the third in recent months. While more details about Wednesday’s threat are still to come, the past two singled out the hospital’s Gender Multispecialty Service program, which is the nation’s first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program.

The ongoing threats have attracted attention from federal authorities, who say the fear such threats impart on transgender youths and their families as they seek gender-affirming care is unacceptable.”

Federal authorities? Merrick Garland wants to seize custody of your children and mutilate them, because globalists gonna globe.

“Boston Children’s Hospital is a nationally known model for best practices in gender-affirming care, and BAGLY strongly condemns these attacks that threaten some of the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community,” the group’s executive director, Grace Sterling Stowell, told HuffPost on Wednesday.”

Grace Sterling Stowell, you will burn in Hell for eternity.

“But to many, the facts didn’t matter, and Libs of TikTok’s tweet took off. Among those who amplified it was former Trump administration advisor Stephen Miller, who charged: “This is monstrous. How does anyone involved in this still have a medical license?”

It’s since spiraled into a much bigger harassment campaign against the hospital, which said it’s been inundated with a “large volume of hostile internet activity, phone calls, and harassing emails including threats of violence” toward staff and clinicians related to its transgender youth health care program. In some instances, people have showed up outside the hospital to protest.

Then the attacks made their way to Fox News, which billed the care center as “mutilation for the children” and let prominent personalities like Tucker Carlson tell his millions of viewers that Boston Children’s Hospital doctors are “evil.”

Remember, when you buy a house, your property taxes are paying to promote this in the public schools.

And if you dare object, you will be tossed into the January 6th gulag.

  9. Washington Post — In the global meme wars, it’s time to side with the elves against the trolls (11/16/2022):

“In recent years, the U.S. government’s efforts to confront disinformation have often fallen short. Some officials oppose “becoming ‘propagandists’ ourselves” — when in fact combating hostile messaging requires no disinformation of our own, just telling the truth in an assertive and coordinated way.”

The truth? The jokes write themselves, Washington Post.

“Perhaps it’s time we learned something from Eastern Europe’s online armies of nongovernment activists — many of them volunteers. They possess authenticity and expertise that outside governments cannot match.”

Authenticity? Nice Reddit “karma score” you got there, cuck.

“Volunteer activists fight it out with trolls online, penetrate and disrupt conspiracy chatrooms, campaign for companies to stop advertising on disinformation sites, and post memes ridiculing Russian propaganda”

    Russia is winning.

“In countries where democracy is at risk, campaigners can have difficulty raising money. Corrupt actors denounce them as the tools of foreign interests, making citizens and businesses reluctant to support them. Some activists make a point of refusing donations from abroad, but others accept support from foreign governments and foundations.”

    His name is George Soros.

“Amid the debate over what kind of information activity the U.S. government should run directly, we should not lose sight of the potential of these committed activists.”

    https://archive.ph/B5nJE

The Washington Post is what President Donald Trump was correctly referring to when he stated that “the media is the enemy of the American people.”
