There Will Be A Period Of Tremendous Pain, Properties Will Go Into Foreclosure Or They’ll Be Forced To Sell

A report from the Real Deal. “Big money will be deployed into cash-deprived real estate funds. ‘We are seeing some investors that are pretty distressed, but if we compare it to previous crises it doesn’t seem to be as widespread,’ said Goldman Sachs managing director Harold Hope.”

From Bisnow New York City. “As local politicians gnash their teeth over the outbound migration of New York City’s wealthiest residents, the city’s hundreds of thousands of lower-income renters are still at risk of mass eviction with little concrete relief in sight. ‘What we’re looking at is the possibility of a massive negative consolidation of the industry,’ said Jay Martin, the executive director of the Community Housing Improvement Program. ‘What many have speculated and what I believe is that there will be a period of tremendous pain, properties will go into foreclosure or they’ll be forced to sell before that.'”

The Puget Sound Business Journal on Washington. “Small commercial and nonprofit tenants in Seattle now will not face eviction through March 31, and residential tenants are protected through the end of September. The extensions come as anxiety rises among landlords. Rents are going unpaid, making it harder to pay mortgages. At the same time, tenants are leaving the city. Eagle Rock Ventures Managing Director Scott Shapiro said delinquencies are up dramatically among his 300 residential tenants in Ballard and Capitol Hill. People are leaving Capitol Hill, where civil unrest continues.”

“The unit vacancy and delinquent payment rates of Shapiro’s portfolio are in the double digits, and he’s owed approximately $200,000 in back rent. The challenges are widespread, with Shapiro saying every small landlord he knows is in a similar situation. Landlords have been clamoring for financial relief for months. ‘It’s down to where you’re often not breaking even on the mortgage,’ he said.”

The San Francisco Business Journal in California. “Landlords in San Francisco’s once flourishing apartment market are now experiencing the other side of the rental reality. Rents have dropped about 25% from this time last year, according to the San Francisco Apartment Association, and owners are having a hard time filling vacancies. ‘Our issue is customers. My sense of this is that the tech industry has basically adjourned their offices until mid-summer,’ Executive Director Janan New told me. ‘Until those folks start moving back to the city for jobs, we’re looking at a pretty down market.'”

“Newer properties have especially been impacted by jobs leaving downtown San Francisco high-rises during the pandemic, she said, adding that some buildings in SoMa are running vacancy rates of about 30% to 40%. ‘These are the hardest-hit properties because they are the closest to where the job losses have occurred,’ she said.”

“The average asking price for a one-bedroom is under $2,700 a month for the first time since 2012 and listing activity has increased, according to real estate tracker Socketsite. There are now more than three times as many apartments listed for rent in San Francisco than there were at the same time last year. ‘(Landlords) talk about how they are holding on and the market is decimated,’ she said. ‘There’s a great deal of anxiety and fear out there because people are operating on a margin.'”

The Los Angeles Times in California. “After more than three decades, Scott Fuller was fed up with living in California. The taxes are just too darn high, he said. The housing prices too. And so in June, the San Francisco Bay Area real estate broker, his wife and two kids packed their bags and moved to Arizona. Like Fuller, a lot of Californians are running for the exit. ‘I never wanted to leave California,’ said Fuller, 48, who has lived in the Golden State since 1983. ‘It’s the most beautiful state with the best climate. I think the tipping point was continued tax increases and even more proposed tax increases…. I have absolutely no regrets.'”

“California’s population is now growing at its slowest rate in more than a century. The California Department of Finance, which monitors the state’s population data, found that from July 1, 2019 to July 1, 2020, California saw a net gain of only 21,200 new residents — a 0.05% growth rate not seen since 1900. As of July, the state’s population was 39.78 million. Over that period, Los Angeles County reported a net loss of 40,036 people, more than any other county in the state.”

“‘This is a real sea change in California, which used to be this state of pretty robust population growth,’ said Hans Johnson, a demographer at the Public Policy Institute of California. ‘It hasn’t been for some time now. But it’s now gotten to the point where the state is essentially not growing population-wise at all.'”

From Blog TO in Canada. “Last year at this time, real estate analysts were reporting an eight per cent year-over-year increase in average rent prices across the City of Toronto, causing tenants in rent-controlled pads to further tighten their grips on units that were perhaps too tiny, too crowded, and sometimes in dire need of repairs. Boy, how the tables have turned.”

“The newly-published 2020 December National Rent Report from Rentals.ca and Bullpen Research & Consulting indicates that the global coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc on Toronto’s rental market (for landlords, at least) with another steep dip in average prices recorded last month. Toronto rents were down a staggering 20 per cent, year-over-year, in November of 2020.”

The South China Morning Post. “Danke, which is run by New York-listed Phoenix Tree Holdings, ran into financial problems and failed to pay landlords across China, leading to the cancellations of contracts with the firm and the sudden eviction of countless tenants.”

“‘Danke now requires landlords like ourselves to drive away tenants. Only if the tenants leave early can we lease [the flat] again,” said Long Xiao, a Guangzhou landlord who signed a five-year contract with Danke in July 2019 and let the company turn her three-bedroom flat into four units. ‘The media and the public are just focusing on the suffering of new graduates, but what about the losses of landlords? We are also victims … but still have to pay the mortgage,’ Long said.”

The Wall Street Journal on Australia. “A year ago, a studio apartment in central Sydney was in such hot demand from foreign students and expat workers that landlords could often find a tenant within days. Adam van Rooijen’s inner-city apartment in Potts Point was recently vacant for six weeks. ‘No one is really moving anywhere,’ said Mr. van Rooijen, 37, who bought the investment property in April.”

“Median rents in Potts Point, near Sydney’s harborside, are down 24% since March. Mr. van Rooijen tried engaging a real-estate agent and listing the property, alongside secondhand lawn mowers and coffee tables. He eventually accepted a 17% cut in rent to fill the property.”

“Apartments are turning out to be the big losers in a pandemic-fueled reordering of the global property market. According to Redfin Corp. the average price discount for condos in the U.S. has widened to a record 17.3% this year. In Sydney and Melbourne, popular tourist cities that typically attract two-thirds of the country’s immigrants each year and have several large colleges, the rental falls have been much deeper.”

“Julie Gleeson saw bookings from U.K. and New Zealand travelers for her one-bedroom apartment in Ultimo, a short train journey to tourist attractions including the Sydney Opera House, vanish when the borders closed. Rents in the area are down sharply, while the pandemic has driven up cleaning costs for short lets. ‘From our point of view, it’s not worth renting,’ said Ms. Gleeson, whose daughter is now staying in the property temporarily. ‘It won’t be until we can have overseas visitors.'”

“Experts worry the divergent fortunes of markets for apartments and houses could restrain Australia’s recovery from its first recession in 29 years. Australia enjoyed a multiyear boom in home prices before the pandemic, making property owners feel wealthier and willing to spend more. Now, falling rents are hitting the incomes of landlords. A looming glut of apartments could also damp investment in construction, removing another growth engine.”

“Looming over Australia’s apartment market are some 95,600 units that had already begun construction before the coronavirus crisis and are yet to come on to the market, raising concerns of a glut if borders don’t reopen soon. Most of the new units are in Sydney and Melbourne. Tim Lawless, CoreLogic’s head of Asia-Pacific research, expects a flood of distressed sales of inner-city apartments that will drive prices lower and could scare off investors. ‘This will be one of the most risky markets around the country,’ he said.”

That’s the spirit!Though I’m not sure what the point of a lawnmower is for an airbox.

    1. Anyone else notice that the CCP Flu is blowing up worse in Commiefornia under lockdown than in Florida where everything is open?

“If you live in San Francisco, you can now go on a walk with a friend and not be breaking the COVID-19 rules.

The SF Department of Public Health updated its stay-at-home order last week to allow two individuals from different households to spend time together outdoors, masked, and physically distanced and in certain outdoor recreation activities with safety protocols in place, officials said.

“This change was made to balance the risk of negative impacts on mental health for those in complete isolation of others and the risk of transmission between two masked, distanced individuals who are outdoors,” the department said in a statement. “Although it is safer not to have any interactions outside the household, people living alone especially need an outlet to maintain their well-being during the current surge.”

      https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/San-Francisco-gatherings-stay-at-home-order-change-15802650.php

      1. Another Lockdown Lovers narrative. Here the globalist bedsh*tter Washington Post reluctantly reports — As teen suicides rock local sports communities, concerns grow over athletes’ mental health (12/16/20):

“Youth suicide was already at a record high before the pandemic — with increases among teens every year from 2007 to 2017, it is the second-leading cause of death among high-school-aged students — and some researchers fear the mental health consequences of coronavirus restrictions on not only schools but also sports could help elevate those numbers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a survey recently asking young adults whether they had thought about killing themselves in the past 30 days; 1 of 4 said they had.

For many teens who have been restricted from playing sports, the pandemic not only has stripped away the opportunity for exercise, competition and potential college scholarships but also has deprived those young athletes of the identity and social circles provided by sports. The mental health benefits that athletics can give students have been a driving force for thousands of parents who have protested the shutdown of sports in their communities across the country, with many often fearing the worst if their kids aren’t able to play.”

        https://archive.is/kxsFv

Lockdown Lovers love dead kids. That’s not an exaggeration, they LOVE DEAD KIDS. And the ones that they can’t kill, they want to erase their adolescence, scar them for life, and turn them into hollowed out empty husks, devoid of any will to live, or most importantly, to resist.

        1. That is so very true. I hate these masked Karen, globalist enabling mass murdering sympathizers who also hate the most economically vulnerable people across the globe.

          1. The Grey Davis’ graft and corruption was so bad that he was referred to as, “the coin operated governor.”

        1. And I’ll keep finding a new one to share everyday.

My mom and stepdad both had the CCP Flu back in September. This was very worrying as they’re both in their 70s.

Guess what, Jeff? They both recovered.

I’m jealous you’re in Florida, I feel like I’m living in the Lockdown Lovers open air prison colony here in Commierado.

          1. Very happy to hear your parents are doing well. I’m also very sad to see your beautiful state under siege.

  2. ‘Matthew Humphrey recently lost $4,000 worth of goods in a theft of his Seattle barbershop. Under a new proposal the Seattle City Council is considering this month, what happened to him wouldn’t even be a crime—if the thieves claimed they were driven by poverty, that is.’

“I think it’s insane,” the victimized barber told a local news outlet. “It’s one of these well-intended concepts (of) we want to take care of people that can’t take care of themselves. But what you are really doing is hurting other people.”

‘Up for debate is a reform proposed by Seattle City Councilmember Lisa Herbold. For up to 100 different misdemeanor crimes, including theft, harassment, shoplifting, trespassing, and more, an individual could be excused if he or she claims poverty was their motive.’

“In a situation where you took that sandwich because you were hungry and you were trying to meet your basic need of satisfying your hunger; we as the community will know that we should not punish that,” King County Director of Public Defense Anita Khandelwal said of the proposal, which she helped craft. “That conduct is excused.”

‘The intent of the proposal is to avoid punishing desperate people just trying to survive. But the provision exempts not only stealing food or similar necessities, but stealing anything—if you claim the money gained from its sale would be used for essentials.’

‘First and foremost, this policy would obviously incentivize more crime and more theft. It would basically give anyone with a good sob story a green light to violate property rights at will. In doing so, it would condemn Seattle to economic decline.’

    https://fee.org/articles/why-seattle-s-proposed-poverty-excuse-for-crime-would-destroy-the-city-s-economy/

      – I’m sure Seattle City Councilmember Lisa Herbold would be fine with these 100-odd misdemeanor crimes being committed against her person, or property, including car, or home. Then they could be busted for not collecting sales tax and remitting it to the franchise tax board.

    4. Easy solution. Break into city council members homes and steal shit. Then leave a not saying, “Sorry, I’m poor. I need this more than you.” Sign your name.

Rotate poor people so this happens every week.

  3. This is a bedwetting article.

NPR — Right-Wing Embrace Of Conspiracy Is ‘Mass Radicalization,’ Experts Warn (12/15/20):

“At conferences, in op-eds and at agency meetings, domestic terrorism analysts are raising concern about the security implications of millions of conservatives buying into baseless right-wing claims. They say the line between mainstream and fringe is vanishing, with conspiracy-minded Republicans now marching alongside armed extremists at rallies across the country. Disparate factions on the right are coalescing into one side, analysts say, self-proclaimed “real Americans” who are cocooned in their own news outlets, their own social media networks and, ultimately, their own “truth.”

    https://www.npr.org/2020/12/15/946381523/right-wing-embrace-of-conspiracy-is-mass-radicalization-experts-warn

I was “radicalized” by the New York Times and NPR. Since June 2015, and especially since November 2016, I have been told by these and other globalist media outlets that they want myself and my whole family dead, exterminated.

“Real Americans” do not bend the knee to globalists. We resist, we fight back, we will take this country back from these bloodsucker parasites. The Day of the Rope is coming for globalists traitors…

    1. I’m seeing more people want hangings of the traitors. I was thinking of who should go first. Any US citizen in politics talking about a great reset: that would be D’pedo’s family, John Kerry’s scrawny neck. They are openly calling for most of our rights being taken away. You can’t look to courts: how many of our rights have been lost to the CCP plandimic? Even the commie WHO said lockdowns do more harm than justified.

‘every small landlord he knows is in a similar situation’

I said in April these communists were doing this on purpose. They have no authority to break contract law. Put everyone under house arrest. Some judges need to swing too.

‘Landlords have been clamoring for financial relief for months’

This is what they want: drive everyone into poverty and have them beg for crumbs from the guberment.

You don’t litigate an insurrection, you put it down. Punishment for treason is death for a reason: so no one will commit more of it. Abe Lincoln hung journalists. I propose we sting up the boards of these globalist news organizations. “Oh, that’s extreme Ben!” We didn’t do this thing, they did. We aren’t communists, they are. We didn’t try to steal an election, they did. I can tell you the people in Arizona aren’t giving up their guns. We didn’t pick that fight, they did.

‘CBS correspondent Catherine Herridge reported Wednesday that DNI John Ratcliffe told CBS “that there was foreign election interference by China, Iran, and Russia in November of this year.”

‘What is most important is the following paragraph from this report:

‘Some analysts say the new intelligence will show China’s effort to influence the U.S. election was far more extensive than previously reported by spy agencies over the last year, the people (Bloomberg’s anon sources) said.’

‘Suddenly the media is dropping hints of Chinese influence in our elections. CBS dropped this into their Nationwide evening newscast.’

‘CBS Reporter: What did Ratcliffe say about election fraud and interference?’

‘Catherine Herridge: Well DNI Ratcliffe leads the 17 intelligence agencies and he has access to the most highly classified information that is held by the US government. And he told CBS News that there was foreign interference by China, Iran, and Russia in November of this year and he is anticipating a public report on those findings in January.’

          1. I didn’t know Russia and Iran were involved. OK, so now what?

By the way, what is going on with the State cases? Are any of them going to the Supreme Court? I would much rather this be settled with the SCOTUS favoring those alternate electors and/or going to the one-vote-one-state procedure. At least then the optics will be better.

Gateway Pundit reported that the FBI, Texas Rangers, and US Marshals had allegedly raided SolarWinds headquarters in Austin, Texas, but this has not been confirmed, although John Basham clarified later on Twitter that “They Had A Building Full Of Agents, Rangers, & Deputy Marshals (Primarily FBI Agents).”

Hey @gatewaypundit That “Hannity Guest” Was Me & The Only Correction I Have For Your Article…I Did Not Describe The Investigation In Austin At Solarwinds As A “Raid”, But They Had A Building Full Of Agents, Rangers, & Deputy Marshals (Primarily FBI Agents)

As the joint statement reads, the agencies issued an Emergency Directive which instructed federal civilian agencies “to immediately disconnect or power down affected SolarWinds Orion products from their network” due to exploitation from “malicious actors.”

Dominion Voting Systems uses SolarWinds products, but has recently removed a reference link to SolarWinds from their official website. Dominion has been criticized recently for their potential role involving mass voter fraud in the 2020 US election.

          3. “At least then the optics will be better.”

That’s what I initially thought about the Texas case – that the optics were better, that the court would be eager to rule on legal technicalities in order to avoid ruling on voter fraud. Nope!

Worse, the Texas case shifted the conversation from the massive voter fraud to all this procedural crap. Even Giuliani’s not talking about fraud on his podcast this week. And keeping the fraud front and center is the only way to win this thing.

I realized anything that makes the optics better will ultimately fail because it skirts around the only issue that could actually galvanize people. I don’t think there’s a pretty way for the Supreme Court to decide in Trump’s favor. The people decided in Trump’s favor. Their choice is being stolen. That’s ugly. No way around it.

          4. “What is going on with the State cases?”

Sidney Powell tweeted an update this hour –

When the New York Post published the alleged contents of a computer hard drive purporting to document the Ukrainian and Chinese business activities of Hunter Biden, the newspaper cast the information as a “smoking gun.”

          Enter the FBI.

Less than three weeks before one of the most contentious presidential campaigns in history, federal authorities are investigating whether the material supplied to the Post by Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, is part of a smoke bomb of disinformation pushed by Russia.

      1. All linked in is good for is wishing former coworkers work anniversary congratulations at their current job.

Yeah, some of them post inane articles about current workplace fads that “are going to change everything”, and then are never heard of again. Or they make posts promoting their employer’s products: “have you seen the new BSinator 5000? It’s going to change everything!”

    3. The WTOP radio station just ran a segment about how misinformation is being spread by dark money from, you guessed it, Russia. And of course how all those evil Trump voters believe him even though he’s wrong.

I told a friend about ivermectin suppression and the election irregularities. He said it wasn’t true because if it was, the media would run it as a massive scoop and gets lots of $$ from ratings. 😒

This misinformation about misinformation is really affecting me. Every day I have a 10- minute mini-meltdown where I question my sanity. 😢

      1. This misinformation about misinformation is really affecting me. Every day I have a 10- minute mini-meltdown where I question my sanity. 😢

They’re trying to wear you and everybody else down. Don’t let it get to you. Might be best to tune it out for a while and just go about your life and ignore all media. Don’t question yourself, you’re on the right track.

I think the most frustrating thing for me, well beyond the misinformation campaign and the stolen election, is the blatant manipulation of the markets and all the associated bubbles that I have not benefited from one bit, because I’m not a gambler. The gamblers got rich, and I look the fool for not participating. I’m hopeful we’ll one day return to sanity but I am having my doubts.

        1. I feel a little silly for getting out of the stock market, but I’m not too worried about that. I still think there will be a crash at least down to 20K again and it’s easy to buy back in. What frosts my bum is Bitcoin. The people waiting on millions for their BTC will fry, like Isaac Newton in the South Sea bubble. But it’s the smart ones who are selling out after hundreds of K to pay off mortgages and buy fancy cars that gets to me. Maybe it’s better than I stay trapped in my house for a while so I don’t have to deal with it in person.

Look on the bright side, you don’t have to look those people in the eye like I do. My friend straight up told me what he was doing in 2018 and implored me to do the same and I scoffed at him. I look like the biggest idiot imaginable right now. Bitcoin just accelerated like $4,500 in one day yesterday or something. Hey, I’ve got my silver. 🙂

          2. look those people in the eye like I do

One of my good old friends bought lottery tickets every payday. He was quite the poor farmer with a mechanic’s job at the mill. Week after week, year after year. One time he “won” a hundred or so. He bragged. I looked at him like he was my friend, and maybe all the money he had lost was worth it to him, as a degenerate compulsive gambler, to just one day say he had won.

      2. He said it wasn’t true because if it was, the media would run it as a massive scoop and gets lots of $$ from ratings.

In the Soviet Union pretty much everyone new that the news was fake. They kept their mouths shut because they knew it was dangerous to speak up.

Much like you I encounter plenty of people who believe everything in the news. Everything.

    1. If you can handle anymore watching 3:11 – 3:30 and reading his lyrics at the bottom should give you a good laugh.

    1. Doesnt matter – stock markets (and bitcoin and …) are at highs – while the mainstreet economy (and many workers) are struggling.

It is astounding … for instance Tesla. At its valuation and PE, it would take growth for 100 years to justify the forward looking valuation.

      —-
Based on its market capitalization, at the moment $578 billion, Tesla would be the sixth largest company in the S&P 500 behind Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Facebook. And it would weigh over 1% of the S&P 500 index. This massive market cap is turning the otherwise fairly routine event of rejiggering the S&P 500 index into a global spectacle.

But Tesla has a market share of the global passenger vehicle market of about 1%. It’s just a small automaker. But Tesla’s market cap ($578 billion) is now about equal to the combined market cap ($582 billion) of Toyota (Toyota and Lexus), Volkswagen (VW, Audi, Porsche, and many other brands), Daimler, GM, BMW, Honda, and Ford – an amazing sight:

      1. Doesnt matter – stock markets (and bitcoin and …) are at highs

Yup, even my RSU’s, which have “seriously underperformed” this year, are up 20%.

      2. Doesnt matter – stock markets (and bitcoin and …) are at highs – while the mainstreet economy (and many workers) are struggling.

        It’s beyond sick – it’s shameful.

        1. Easy FED money keeps flowing to the stock market. I wonder if one added up all the wages paid to the bottom 99% how that would compare to easy FED money ? I think Most of the Directors and above where I work make 20-100X more in RSU’s vesting than in wages.

          1. “Easy FED money keeps flowing to the stock market”

I believe it – but i dont know how. Who is able to borrow $s – not pension funds, not hedge funds (i think). What is the mechanism that enable some entity to borrow from a bank with collateral and then be able to invest in the stock market.

          2. I believe that the FedRes injects money (cash) into the system by buying bonds. Those who sell the bonds buy stocks and other assets.

Also, Corporate America borrows money and uses it for stock buy backs.

        2. Everything is rigged, false, or doesn’t make sense . That is how much all systems have been taken over , with no apparent opposition to the control this takeover of the USA has. The opposition is being silenced in every way.
And you hear some Politicians talk about how horrible everything is, but in the final analysis nothing is done about it. Who can stop this takeover of the USA. it seems like so many branches of Government, as well as the the Judicial and a high percentage of the Politicians are going along with it.
So, I’m just saying if all branches of the Government have been so hopelessly corrupted, than what is the recourse? It looks like they rigged the election and are putting their puppet Biden in.
So if Government, Military, Judicial, Government agencies, FBI, etc in conjunction with the Globalist Industrial Complex, as well as the Commies and Foreign enemies, are the enemies, than how do you overcome that as a people?
Look at how much Trump was attacked repeatedly because he dared to do some mandates half the Country elected him to do .
And the way that these treasonous forces talk about Republicans, or voters of Trump ,as if they are a enemy force, rather than another political party is very telling .
I mean a Rebellion against this takeover means a Revolution against our Government itself because of the degree our Government has been taken over already .
So, I’m just saying if a high percentage of our Government is already under control of enemies of the State than a treasonous Government is the enemy.

So, now that they are going to rig elections , they have already taken the Government from the people.

      1. soybean oil futures are at a 5 year high. Is demand really that high – or is this a financial machinations thing?

          3. Isn’t that what they want you to do?

Now get out there and buy his and hers $60K SUV’s with a HELOC!

It’s exactly what their goal is. The FED is running a 24/7/365 propaganda campaign to push every dollar into these massive bubbles. They are screaming: “If you are on the sidelines, we are going to destroy you.” They’re the masters at instilling FOMO.

Just look at their chatter from a few days ago:

            No Raise in Sight

With most Federal Reserve officials projecting inflation to remain below the 2% target through 2023, they do not see raising interest rates for years.

These guys are telling us that they can predict the future and therefore will not be raising rates. They are all in. And now they’ve got all of those people over a barrel who are out of the market. Do you jump in at the top and hope you’re not an Isaac Newton, or do you blindly believe the DOW is going to 100k, and Bitcon to $1,000,000?

          4. The Fed has been buying $80 billion in Treasurys and $40 billion in mortgage bonds a month since June while pledging to maintain those purchases “over coming months.”

It’s difficult to classify those mortgage bonds as assets since they’re likely buying the lowest rated, non-performing schitt.

          5. Now get out there and buy his and hers $60K SUV’s with a HELOC!

If you watch commercials — apparently you are a bad husband if you dont do this. Think GMC, Lexus and others.

Funny aside – did you know that the red bows that go on cars cost more than $500? At least for Toyotas and Lexus’. It is a huge profit margin – but a significant % of buyers still want the bow (i guess for their instagram photos)

          6. I didn’t even know the Lexus bows were an option; I thought it was just part of the commercial. Meh, shows how much I traffic with obvious rich folk.

How can significantly more people be leaving California than entering, and the birth rate drop to historic lows, yet the population keeps growing? Maybe if you make the right assumptions, it works out this way.

    1. Population shifts will be very interesting to analyze for the 2020 CY and perhaps the 2021 CY. See below – Canada had (relatively) zero immigrants because of the pandemic.

The hypothesis in Canada (also in many segments of the US) is that immigration is needed to keep the economy going and to have wage earners to support the growing elderly population. Not to mention the housing market from the investor class immigrants.

Be interesting to see the analysis and segmentation going forward

      —-
      From Bloomberg
Canada’s population growth ground to a halt in the third quarter after travel restrictions and closed borders prevented most forms of immigration.

In the three months through September, Canada’s population was essentially unchanged, up 2,767 to just over 38 million, Statistics Canada reported Thursday, citing negative international migration due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions as the main factor. That marks the slowest increase in data back to 1946.

The stall highlights the impact COVID-19 is having on Canada’s once-robust population growth, a worrying sign for an economy that relies on immigration for demand and to offset an aging demographic.

Because the country saw negative international immigration flows in the third quarter, nearly all of the population growth came from natural increase — or more births than deaths, the statistics agency said.

Canada welcomed 40,069 immigrants in the third quarter, but reported a record net loss of almost 66,000 non-permanent residents, the agency said.

      1. At the current pace, the real population will someday actually resemble the demographics shown in advertising, which if they are to be believed then I should be married to a shapely mulatto woman.

        1. the real population will someday actually resemble the demographics shown in advertising

In that case, I will disappear altogether.

    2. California’s birth rate has been in decline for years. There still are enough births to residents to result in a small net gain in population but the increase is tiny. California has the biggest population in the country and its population has historically been increasing significantly–in 1990 it was about 30,000,000; 2000, 34,000,000; 2010, 37,000,000 and 2019 about 39,500,000.

The State’s population was increasing by about 4,000,000 every 10 years. That’s more than the total populations of many states. So having the population growth go to essentially ZERO is incredible! This is going to leave a mark, I guarantee. It’s going to affect the economy and the housing market.

      1. So having the population growth go to essentially ZERO is incredible! T

And as the situation continues to deteriorate the exodus will increase.

    1. SCOTUS Justice Roberts Afraid To Hear Election Fraud Cases Due To Liberal “Riots”

      by Kelen McBreen
      December 17th 2020, 5:08 pm

A video going viral online shows Arizona State Senator Eddie Farnsworth citing a Supreme Court staffer who allegedly heard SCOTUS judges yelling behind closed doors during a heated argument.

Farnsworth describes a statement made by a “Current staffer for one of the Supreme Court Justices.”

“He said the justices, as they always do, went into a closed room to discuss cases or to debate,” Farnsworth explained. “There are no phones, no computers, no nothing. No one else is in the room except the nine justices. It’s typically very civil.”

He continued, saying, “They usually don’t hear any sound, they just debate what they’re doing. But, when the Texas case was brought up, he heard screaming through the walls as Justice Roberts and the other liberal justices were insisting that this case not be taken up. The words that were heard through the wall when Justice Thomas and Justice Alito were citing Bush vs Gore, from John Roberts, were, ‘I don’t give a ***** about that case, I don’t want to hear about it. At that time we didn’t have riots.’ So, what he was saying is he was afraid of what would happen if they didn’t do the right thing.”

“I’m sorry, but that is moral cowardice,” Farnsworth declared. “We in the SREC, I’m an SREC member, we put those words in very specifically, because the charge of the Supreme Court is to ultimately be our final arbitrator, our final line of defense for right and wrong, and they did not do their duty. So, I think we should leave these words in because I want to send a strong message to them. Thank you.”

      1. It’s incredibly dangerous for any Republic (if that’s what we still are) when you have a major political party and its globalist bankrollers who can deploy violent mobs on command to further their agendas and intimidate the opposition. It has already given rise to a counterforce – the Proud Boys – and “far right militias” (in the parlance of the MSM) are proliferating like mushrooms, as the stockpiling of guns and ammo hits all-time highs. Also, when you have institutions of governance like the Supreme Court that are riddled with feckless moral cowards and Constitution-hating partisan hacks, there go your checks and balances.

What these globalists and their Democrat Quislings fail to understand is that their undermining of the rule of law is ultimately going to come back on them with a vengeance once 73 million “Red” Americans internalize the fact that they are not going to vote their way out of the mess that we’re in.

Gosh, I’d sure hate to see Comrade Biden have to choose between the freeloaders who are his natural constituency, and the globalist oligarchs who bankroll the Democrats and whose vulture funds like BlackRock are among the nation’s biggest corporate landlords.

These 5 Moms Facing Eviction Are Putting Biden on Notice: ‘Nobody’s Leaving’

“I feel, as a mother, it is my role to protect my family and my home,” said Helia Juarez, one of the mothers who spoke to VICE News.

    1. “Her husband’s hours were cut back at work due to COVID-19, and Cooper’s “side hustles” mostly dried up—except for her deep canvassing work this election season—leaving the couple scrambling to make their bills.”

      What exactly is, “deep canvassing?”

“In 2016, campaigns spent more than $6.8 billion across the country to win the hearts and minds of our electorate. But many of us woke up on November 9 with 45 reasons to rethink our approach.”

Now it’s burn, loot, dead voters, fraudulent voters, etc., right?

    1. “Amidst a flurry of high-profile examples, California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s expensive gathering with other officials at The French Laundry stands out for its arrogance.”

This might be the most expensive lunch ever in California.

    2. I hope the sheep are rebelling . Very difficult when they are now suppressing any dispute to their fake and treasonous narratives.
I was thinking that if you want to put a name on what was the weak link that allowed this hijacking of the USA it would be money .
The Politicians were always doing things to help out big business. It started with the tax write offs and Gov supplements given. Than these forces went Global and got in bed with Foreign Countries. Not surprising that we have Big Global Corporations that want to control the World now, who are nothing but Monopolies and Looters and hijackers of Governments. They are loyal to whatever makes them money or gives them power.
This is why the Citizens of this Country are being treated like enemies to the agendas of these powerful forces that have made so much progress in taking over, including the Government.

  8. Well so much for the Judicial Branch stopping this fraud against a free and fair election. All branches of the Government were slowly corrupted in favor of the bizarre rigged World we live in today. It’s actually worse than Monarch rule because a King would have some stake in the welfare of the Country it rules. These forces that have taken over have no loyalty or regard for the welfare or even the protection of the Country.

Globalist, Commies, Foreign Countries ,Medical Cartel , and the Money Changers want to rule the World . The Government was taken over by these forces, and the Politicians are treasonous in this highjacking by the means they used to get this treason.
Just listen to how anti American the Politicians sound these days with their bogus identity politics to divide and conquer. Big Business funding attacks by Commie Street gangs is a attack on law abiding Citizens.
All these forces have been showing their true colors for a while now, and they are going to control all information while they cram their evil lies down the Citizens throats, and subject the population to questionable vaccines.
So, this illusion that we have a Government for the people is no longer valid, and apparently they will rig elections to put their puppets in.
So, I just keep thinking how can Citizens stop tbe highjacking of the Government that has already taken place? If the Government has become the enemy, and they are serving the agenda of these powerful forces that have highjacked this Country, than what is the recourse of the Citizens?
These creeps already have us locked down by bogus Medical Panadamic in which they are taking away any dispute to it being bogus and not following the Science. Their silly fake narratives are so obvious to anyone one paying attention.
I have a friend who can’t wait to get one of these vaccines. I can’t convince such a brainwashed person that he is being victimized. He is one of the true believers in whatever they say on fake news. He never liked Biden, but the Medical Hoax he totally believes. So, he’s to far gone and has abandoned all critical thinking . He’s so hysterical everytime I talk to him that I can’t stand talking to this brainwashed dumb ass anymore, it’s just a waste of my time. I don’t know why he keeps calling me , because everything I say is opposite to his belief in these corrupted systems.
But anyway , I just hope enough people see the truth and rebel somehow against it.
