Is Panic Selling Over In Vaughan, Richmond Hill & Markham Real Estate? – July 27
    Team Sessa Real Estate
    Aug 4, 2022

Vaughan Home Prices, Richmond Hill Home Prices & Markham Home Prices for the week of July 21 – July 27, 2022.

    1. “What’s Happening in the Phoenix Real Estate Market?”

Sellers are agreeing to lengthy repair lists. Say it ain’t so!

      1. A friend’s wife didn’t like their car’s smell when the A/C ran, so she agreed to a trade-in on a new car. This was an impulse on the way home from work. Knowing what cars cost these days, I didn’t ask.

  2. ‘About 1 in 7 listed properties had a price reduction in June — about double the rate from a year earlier, according to Realtor.com. Some of the hottest markets during the health crisis are now witnessing some of the deepest price cuts, with almost 1 in 4 properties in Austin, Texas, seeing a price drop and about 1 in 5 homes in Phoenix and Las Vegas seeing a reduction, the report found.’

  3. ‘Canada’s Canopy Growth Corp. WEED-T -5.15%decrease
reported a $2.1-billion loss in the first quarter of its 2023 fiscal year, another major blow for the former cannabis star as it tries to restructure its business in order to win back investors.’

‘The lion’s share of the loss stems from a $1.7-billion goodwill writedown on Canopy’s cannabis operations, a non-cash charge management attributed to a decrease in the company’s stock market value in the first quarter, which ended June 30.’

‘Goodwill often accumulates when paying premiums for acquisition targets, and Canopy has now written off all the goodwill it has compiled in its cannabis division. The company now also runs a consumer products division that includes BioSteel energy drinks, which was one of the few bright spots this quarter.’

Goodwill = we paid too much.

  4. ‘Shares of Jack Dorsey-led Block Inc, a digital payments firm that has bet big on bitcoin, declined nearly 7% in premarket trading on Friday after the company reported a loss in quarterly results on waning interest in cryptocurrencies.’

‘The San Francisco, California-based company saw nearly $3.5 billion wiped off its market value by 6:20 a.m. ET. The stock has fallen more than 44% this year.’
