  2. Migrants in El Paso, Texas urged Mayor Eric Adams to take them back to the Big Apple with him Sunday — because they heard New York City can help them more than anywhere else.

Adams was greeted by a crowd of curious onlookers during one of the stops on his weekend tour of El Paso, a center of the migrant crisis that has overwhelmed his own city.

“I heard that they can help me in New York more than elsewhere. I heard the shelters are great there,” said Venezuelan native Kailey Marquez, one of the migrants gathered outside the Sacred Heart Catholic Church shelter during Adams’ visit.

Some told The Post they wanted Adams to “take me with you” to New York when asked what their message would be for the visiting mayor.

“I hope his visit has the purpose of helping us because we just want to get ahead in life,” said Marquez, who began her journey to the US with her husband and two children while pregnant.

Marquez said she had given birth in the US to a child who is now a 20-day-old citizen, and her oldest kids are now aged 6 and 2.

Two other migrants outside the church-turned-shelter, both from Venezuela, told The Post they wanted to reach New York, with one of them pointing out its status as a sanctuary city.

“I would like to go to sanctuary,” said Elvis Mendoza, one of the dozens gathered to see what Adams could do to help them.

When asked what kind of help he wanted from the mayor, Mendoza replied, “That he take me to New York.”

Another man specifically said he wanted to go to Queens, though did not explain why that was his preferred borough.

“I want a work permit so I can make a living. That’s why we came here,” said Hernesto Villafranca. “I just need a permit so I can go there and complete my reason for coming here.”

The mayor said Friday the city’s shelter system was at “its breaking point” and asked Albany to shelter 500 migrants as it planned to appeal to Gov. Kathy Hochul for an “emergency mutual aid request”

Adams had also demanded that the feds offset the cost of the city’s shelter initiative, seeking $1 billion in FEMA reimbursement and as part of a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill passed by Congress last month.

“That money comes from our schools. It comes from our public safety, our hospitals, our infrastructure, our ACS services, those are our tax dollars that it’s coming from and we got to see an impact in every service we have in the city,” Adams said Friday.

  3. Miami-Dade County officially ended its naming rights partnership with crypto exchange firm FTX after a federal bankruptcy judge granted the county’s request to remove the company’s signage from the Miami Heat’s arena.

The deal fell through after FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested and charged with eight criminal counts in December, including wire fraud and conspiracy to mislead investors. Until a new sponsor is secured, the stadium, which sits in the heart of downtown Miami, will be referred to as “the Arena,” the Miami Herald reports.

Dade County asked a federal bankruptcy court for approval to terminate the deal with FTX in November. The county sought to exit the 19-year, $135M sponsorship deal it signed with FTX in 2021 after it was discovered the company had lost billions in customer deposits.

FTX’s U.S. division announced plans in September to relocate its headquarters to Miami from Chicago. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez tweeted “Welcome HOME!” when Bankman-Fried announced the move, calling the 30-year-old entrepreneur “one of the most innovative technologists” on the planet.

Less than three months later, Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas and extradited to the U.S. to face federal criminal charges and Securities and Exchange Commission penalties. He pleaded not guilty Jan. 3 in a New York courtroom and is awaiting trial.

  4. Groomers with Guns Greet Child Protection Activists at Dallas All-Ages Drag Event (1/15/2023):

“On Saturday Tayler Hansen covered the All-Ages Drag Show event in Dallas, Texas.

Hundreds of angry groomers assembled outside the event to confront the child protection activists who came out to protest the event.

At least two groomers carried guns to defend their right to promote sexual content to children.”

Housing, because when you buy a house, your property taxes are paying to promote this in the public schools, and if you dare protest, Attorney General Merrick Garland will toss yer @zz in the January 6th gulag.

  5. Russia Today, because the New York Times and Washington Post are globalist scum media.

Zelensky is destroying Ukraine – exiled opposition leader (1/16/2023):

“The policies of President Vladimir Zelensky’s government – based on hatred and intransigence towards Russia – are inevitably driving Ukraine into poverty, the former parliamentary opposition leader has warned.

Viktor Medvedchuk, who was forced into exile after being arrested by the SBU (the successor agency to the Soviet KGB), claims that Kiev is encouraging the same approach in other European states. He believes that such dangerous sentiment could even lead to an eventual nuclear standoff.

Medvedchuk’s political party was the second largest in the current Ukrainian parliament, before it was banned last year. The rump of the faction is now closely controlled by Zelensky’s “Servant of the People” group.

As part of his crackdown on dissent, the President personally targeted Medvedchuk, who was a proponent of reconciliation with Russia, the latter has claimed in an article published on Monday in Russian newspaper Izvestia, in which he gives his view on the roots of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Both Zelensky and his predecessor Pyotr Poroshenko had been elected after the 2014 coup in Kiev on a platform of peace, and each made a U-turn after getting into office, Medvedchuk pointed out. He argued that this shows a pattern of betrayal of the Ukrainian people by its leadership and by what he termed a “party of war.”

    Zelensky is a war criminal.

  7. Just read that neither Schwab nor Soros will be attending the WEF summit in Davos. Schwab claims he has a “health issue”, while Soros says he has a schedule conflict.

Vox Day speculates: “It could be they caught word of the hypothetical Joint Winter Offensive starting next week. Or it could be the vaxx. Or it could be something else. Regardless, two of Clown World’s leading clowns skipping its annual grand circus is certainly unexpected.”
